Day 16
Sunday July 8, 2007

I slept in a little today and then got motivated. Rich and Dawn are coming over today and we are going to hang out in the room and watch the Rehab pool party from up here to see the antics that take place during that show. Before they came over I hit the craps table. I cut my bets down this session because of the ass kicking I’ve been getting. It just didn’t matter though. The dice refuse to cooperate and number, number, out was the theme once again. I’ve seen cold tables before but this was absurd. I don’t think I got paid on a total of 10 line bets the whole session and I rolled 3 of them during 1 roll. Rich and Dawn arrived while I was playing and went to the center bar to play video poker. My session continued and finally came to an end after I dropped another $2500. These losing sessions are really getting to be too much for the bankroll.

I joined Rich and Dawn at the bar and played some video poker with them. I didn’t do well here and lost another $100 from a total lack of quads. The second half of this trip is really a downer compared to the first week!

We went up to my room to watch the pool party after getting beat up at video poker. The party was a little slow today compared to pictures and videos I’ve seen of past parties. It was still fun to watch but after a while it got old so we went back to the casino and played more video poker, this time at the Viva Lounge. I didn’t to too bad here but eventually lost another $100. While we were playing Dawn went to the slot club to get a bunch of drawing tickets for a portable DVD player they were giving away. There were 5 numbers drawn for night. The entries were earned based on play and she had over 200 entries. The drawing was at 8pm and she had most of the entries in the drum. The first number drawn was hers! The 3rd number drawn was hers, and the 4th number drawn was hers. The marketing guy told her only one per person, but to give the other tickets away so Rich and I also had winners. Oddly the DVD players weren’t at the casino and would be delivered tomorrow. Luckily we’d all still be in town.

We had made reservations for dinner at Simon to use some food coupons and comps we had. We went here last trip and liked the food and wanted to try it again. Simon was actually here tonight and he even stopped by the table to say hi and thanked us for coming. I thought that was really cool that the owner of the place made the effort. I tried the meatloaf dinner. It’s not your typical meatloaf but it is very good. The meal came with vegetables, and garlic mashed potatoes. The total bill for three of us was $82 with 2 drinks. The prices here are a bit high, but not nearly as high as higher tier restaurants can be.

When we were done with dinner we went back to the lounge and had drinks and played video poker. I wasn’t hitting many quads and through out the night lost $50. I had to stop playing simply because of an excess of drinks and I don’t like to gamble in that condition. We all over did it tonight although that wasn’t the plan. I think it was about 3am and we all ended up crashing up in my room. It’s been a long time since I’ve done that and I felt like crap.

Total win/loss for the day -$2750
Total comps for the day $319
