Once I got motivated today I went to register for my Summerfest slot tournament. This was being held at the mall under Bally’s. I registered and got the 2:20pm session on machine 15. They also gave everyone a free gift but all it was is a stupid stuffed bumble bee. This is also a no frills tournament with no refreshments or even drinks. I was doing ok and hit the jackpot combination along with a few other 1000 point pay offs. The only bad thing was a lady 2 seats down from me hit the jackpot 3 times. I finished with over 8,000 points but only the top 2 people get money and move to the finals and it wasn’t me! I entered a drawing for a wild card spot in the finals too and the drawing was at 3:45pm. This gave me time to go play some video poker in Paris.

I started off with $1 bonus poker. This was a bad session for the most part with no quads and few flushes and full houses. I was in $400 and I switched over to DDB and in just a few hands hit 4 aces for $800 and switched right back to regular bonus. I cashed out the session up $200 and went to the wild card drawing. I didn’t get drawn but one thing that pisses me off is when a person gets called twice during these things and a guy that won his session got called as well. Those don’t count but it shows how much luck they have!

After the drawing was done I went back to the VP machines. I was getting a lot of full houses to keep me going but I just couldn’t hit a quad. I lost the $600 ticket I cashed out earlier and took a break.

During my break I went to the diamond lounge at Paris for a late lunch/early dinner. It was more if the usual offerings which are fine by me. I have to admit though I am getting tired of eating the same stuff every day!

I played some more video poker after dinner again with no quads but cashed out even again with no quads. I walked over to Planet Hollywood after this and played some craps. This table was good from the beginning but there were a few bumps in the road. One shooter even hit the fire bet with 4 different points. He actually hit 6 but 2 were repeaters. I couldn’t shoot to save my life today and hit very few points and I don’t think I had a turn more than 5 rolls. I was up about $1500 at one time and colored up with $1100.

I moved back over to Paris to play more video poker and just got hammered. Again during this session a lack of quads was a killer. I only one quad the whole time I played and dropped another $400. In total today I put 14k through the machines and lost $800 playing at the dollar level.

For a late dinner I wanted to go to the Sidewalk café at Bally’s but they now close after lunch. Instead I went to Le Café at Paris. There was a nice long line to get in but my diamond card got me seated before all of those people. I ordered the prime rib. The meal came with a baked potato and vegetables. Now, here’s a warning to anyone that might want to go here to eat. The prices are VERY high for a coffee shop and your meals don’t come with any extras. For example my prime rib dinner didn’t offer a soup or salad and you don’t even get dinner rolls. Sandwiches run in the $12-$15 range and entrees are even more.

When I was done with dinner I came back to the room and took it easy for the rest of the night. I ate way too much and needed to relax!
