Day 8 Friday July 16, 2004

Dining:
On the MVP offer I’m staying on there is a deal where if you earn 300 points before 4pm you get a voucher for lunch. I did that today and they give you a lunch voucher good for one of the daily specials. The choice today was all you can eat fish and chips or steak and shrimp. I went with the steak dinner. It comes with potato, soup or salad and vegetables. In another absurd Las Vegas Club move this meal does NOT include a drink. Go figure, they’ll give you an $11 meal but won’t include a soda that costs them about 3 cents. The food was average at best today and the steak I ordered medium rare and it was medium well. It did the trick and filled the hole in my stomach and I was on my way.

Gaming:
Played a little this morning at Las Vegas Club on a DDB machine. Quickly I hit quad deuces but that was the best hand I had for a while. I lost most of that hit before I hit them again. Yes, that’s deuces 2 twice on a jack based game. That’ll make you want to scream! I cashed out after a little over an hour with a $60 win.

After lunch I headed out to Henderson to pick up my laundry and to stop at Fiesta Henderson. I got into the craps game and everything went well. Lots of people making their points and repeating numbers so my come bets were being paid off. I had a decent roll but nothing compared to yesterday at the Cannery. I was up a few hundred and then 2 bad shooters (including myself) took away some profits. I still finished the session up $200 though.

After craps I played a little deuces wild. The machine started out very tight and I dropped $35 before I even hit my first 4 of a kind. I played for about an hour and dropped $60 here.

Total win/loss for the day $150
Total comps for the day $76
