Day 8
Saturday July 17, 2004
Flight:
Although today is the last day of the trip it’s not really the end of my vacation. Today I’m leaving Las Vegas and heading up to Seattle for a night and then catching a cruise up to Alaska on Princess Cruise lines.
The first stop in the morning was to pick up my friends that were going on this trip too. Then it was on to the airport to return the rental car and then we would all be taking the shuttle to the airport terminal. My final receipt had a total price for the rental was under $30 thanks to the CTI code. We took Alaska Air from Las Vegas to Seattle-Tacoma. I’m on flight 663 and it departs at 9:06am and arrives in Seattle at 11:48am.
While we were waiting to board they allowed the first class passengers to get on first but then instead of boarding by row number from the back of the plane the assholes at Alaska Air decided to board ALL rows at once. I think these people are sniffing glue or something. Eventually we all boarded and were on the way to Seattle. The flight went well and we even got to see Mt St Helen’s volcano. We also landed about 45 minutes early in Seattle.
So although this trip to Las Vegas was officially over, another vacation was starting.

Final Thoughts
- Mitsubishi Lancer is a pretty cheap car
- Lots of people complain about America West but I have never had a serious issue with them
- Dollar has taken the lead in low priced rental cars here in Las Vegas
- The CTI code is awesome and I’m going to miss it when it’s gone
- The Chrysler 300 Touring Edition is a pretty nice car and it has some balls too
- I was shocked when I was called for the last wild card spot in the craps tournament
- It was really cool beating out a player by $5 in the craps tournament
- The points really add up quick at the Cannery on a 5X day
- The gift card promotion at the Cannery is one of my favorites
- I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get to stay at the Barbary Coast this trip because I have never stayed there before
- Gold Strike in Jean is a pretty decent lower end property but probably not worth a special trip
- I think the Cannery has become my personal ATM
- The craps session at the Cannery on Thursday was one of my best sessions ever
- Las Vegas Club needs to teach their employees to be a little friendlier
- Scratch Cards at Main Street Station added .35% to my game
- I played almost 33,000 hands of video poker but didn’t hit any royals
- It’s been nearly 71,000 hands since my last royal flush
- This trip brings my Las Vegas gambling record to 14-9-1
- My next Las Vegas trip will be from July 25 – August 2
Eff Yous
- Eff you to the guy at security in Newark for not emptying his pockets 3 times when he went through the metal detectors
- Eff you to America West for charging an extra $100 for a bag that weighs over 50 pounds
- Eff you to the craps player at the Cannery that was betting the dark side (on a hot table) and being a real dick when points were being made
- Eff you to the waitress in the Upper Deck restaurant at the Las Vegas Club on Wednesday night
- Eff you to Las Vegas Club housekeeping for calling my room to see when I wanted my room cleaned when the do not disturb sign was on the door
- Eff you to Alaska Airlines for boarding all rows at once
