Day 6 Friday July 30, 2004

Hotel:
Today is the final moving day before leaving town to go back home. It was rough checking out at noon at the Hilton after not getting back to the room until almost 8am. I’m staying at Fiesta Henderson on a room comp through my host. I’ll be here for the next 3 nights in room 7114. This is actually a room I’ve had 2-3 times in the past. I thought that it was funny since I don’t request any special rooms here at Fiesta.

Dining:
For dinner tonight Mike Rich, Dawn, and me went to the buffet here at the Fiesta. The buffet here is pretty good but I don’t think it ever changes very much. We used coupons that were good for 2 free buffets each that Rich and Mike had so the 4 of us ate this buffet for free.

Gaming:
After I got settled into the room I met up with Yahtzee Mike and the Bostons and we hit some FPDW by the sports book. Rich hit deuces right away and then I hit them shortly after. This was a nice start to the day.

Next was a quick effort to hit and run on a $5 match play. I ended up busting out my hand and losing the $5 bet. As usual I don’t do very well with coupons most of the time.

After dinner I played some triple play 8/5 bonus with progressives for each line and a jackpot for a dealt royal. I hit 4 aces and finished the session up $100. Other big hands and quads were not hitting enough so I was lucky to get away up like I did.

Next up was some blackjack to use up some 3-1-blackjack coupons. Me and Mike were able to use these on a super fun 21 single deck game. One pit wouldn’t let us use the coupons but the other pit did. I did hit a blackjack with $10 bet but still finished the session down $100 since this was the table from hell. I only won 3 hands in total and that included the blackjack I got.

Later on we played more video poker. The Bostons were taking a break and me and Mike hit the slant top deuces. I popped 4 deuces on my 4th hand for my second set of the day. We played quite a while and I finished up with $250.

After these machines we moved over to the bar tops and had a few drinks while slowly playing the short pay games they had. I was doing ok but then the machine sucked down my money. This was a sign that it was time to go to bed.
