Day 10 Friday August 16, 2002

I didn’t wake up until after 12 again to. I decided to start my day off by going to the pool. I have never been to the pool here at all so thought I’d give it a try. They have a nice pool area here with a pool side bar and a Jacuzzi. The water in the pool was so warm it wasn’t even refreshing though. I stayed down here for about 2 hours just relaxing and taking it easy.

After I came back from the pool and got ready I hit the casino again. I was getting some play for my money so far but I was still losing and going way too many hands on VP without getting a winner. While I was playing bonus poker I was dealt 4 cards to a straight flush and actually pulled it out. This was followed by a quad shortly after but as my luck has been I lost all that I was up almost instantly. I still can’t understand how I can go 40 hands in a row without getting a winner even if it were only a pair of jacks.

I moved around from machine to machine for a while getting a little more play than I had been but still losing at every one of them. I just can’t seem to get ahead at all. After a little while of this I decided it was time to take another break. I’ll try again a little later on.

The next session I tried some triple play. This went well for a while. On one hand I held the jack and king of clubs and one line filled out with a straight flush. This was the second one of the day. I was actually able to play this machine for over an hour and cash out even.

I was hungry now and went over to the coffee shop for dinner. I ordered the turkey dinner special. It’s turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. It also comes with soup or salad and dinner rolls all for $6.45. The meal was good and well worth the price. I charged it to the room and will have my host look at my play when I check out to have it taken care of.

After dinner I saw the Yankee game was on the TV’s at the bar so I played video poker at the bar. The pay tables on bonus poker were still 8/5 even at the bar so I played there and figured I’d be able to watch the game and have a few beers and play VP all at once. I did just that too and the machine sucked down my money as fast as I was putting it in. I was right back to where I have been for the last 3 days losing in record time.

After the Yankees beat Seattle 9-3 I decided I would take one more shot at the craps tables. This turned out to be a bust and was typical of what usually happens when I play craps. The shooter makes their point. Throws a few numbers that I have come bets on followed up with a 7 out. It took a while but I eventually lost everything here too. It was getting late so I stopped playing for the night and came back up to the room to go to bed and try to put yet another shitty gaming day behind me.
