Day 11
Tuesday August 16, 2005

Dining:
For lunch I met my friend Gary here at Green Valley and we had lunch in their new Grand Café. The food here was really good and it’s what I’d call an upscale coffee shop. I went with the fried chicken dinner. The chicken was actually de-boned and it came with mashed potatoes and gravy and some veggies.

For dinner I had bacon, eggs and pancakes at The Original Pancake House at Green Valley Ranch. The food was really good but the service really sucked. This was my first time ever eating here and I would return.

Gaming:
Well today I started off by heading over to Sam’s Town to play some craps. I haven’t played craps here in a really long time and I should have stayed away. Not one shooter threw the dice more than 3 times before going out. That is of course with exception to the guy that rolled for 10 minutes and hit 3 points when I made a last ditch effort on the dark side. I dropped $500 here and didn’t get much time playing either.

On my way out the door I played some Password Penny slots. I hit the bonus rounds quite a few times and actually finished the session with a $100 win. Pretty impressive for playing pennies on a $10 buy in.

After getting beat at Sam’s Town I came back up here to GVR. I played 8/5 bonus progressive and dropped $200 in about 45 minutes. I can’t recall ever losing at single line quarters as fast as I did tonight. To make things worse I only ran about $400 through the machines so I again got no playtime for my money.

After VP I took yet 1 more shot at craps. Much like yesterday and today no shooter rolled the dice more than 4-5 times. Again the exception to this was when I made another Hail Mary on the dark side and someone actually made the point of 10. This trip is starting to become a nightmare as most of what I was up a week ago is just about gone and I’m getting flashbacks to the luck I had on my December 2003 trip. If you don’t know about this trip go to my site and look up that report. Just be warned it’s not pretty.

Total win/loss for the day: -1100
Total comps for the day: $169
