Day 12
Wednesday August 17, 2005

Hotel:
Last night when I reviewed my account I saw there was a $30 charge to the Café on my account. Now I know I sure as hell didn’t make the charge so I went to the front desk to get it handled. The nice girl there said she’d dispute it with the café and it would be removed by 11am. Guess what? It wasn’t. I went back to the front desk this morning and finally got it taken care of. I guess the point of this is to be sure to review your account before you check out!

Today will be my final moving day as I check into the Hard Rock. I booked this room through a host and it is comped based on my previous craps play here. I get to use the VIP check in here and was given room 920 with a view of the pool area and strip. The rooms are slightly different since the last time I stayed here. The biggest difference is the wall unit and the 42-inch plasma TV. The rest of the room has a king bed with nightstands and part of the wall unit is a work desk. There is also a coffee table and arm (less) chair. The bathroom has a long counter, toilet and tub.

Dining:
Lunch today was a healthy meal consisting of another ½ can of Pringles and a soda!

For dinner I had the French Dip sandwich at Mr. Lucky’s 24/7 Café. The food was good but the service really sucked. For some reason my waitress would walk by me a dozen times without acknowledging me. Then I waited 10 minutes for the check and another 10 for her to come get it.

Gaming:
When I arrived at the Hard Rock my room wasn’t ready yet so I did what I do best. I hit the craps table. The dealer said it was cold so I just bet he line with no other bets. The girl shooting proceeded to hit the six 8 times and a few other numbers before making the point. She rolled for quite a while and the table heated up. It was almost as good as last week but not quite. The table remained good and I was up quite a bit. The dice cooled off and I left with a win of just over a grand. I really needed that win and now I’m feeling a little better going into tonight after 6 days of losses.

After dinner I hit the tables one more time. The table was up and down and I was too. I ranged from being up $600 to down $600 a number of times. After about 6 hours at the table I ended up down about $900 after 5 shooters in a row (including myself) killed me. The main highlight of the session was when I beat out a dark side player of about $3000. On my come out I hit seven twice and an eleven beating taking him for $600 and then I hit 4 points and a few repeaters taking down his don’t come bets too. He deserved it too since he was one of those dark side players that liked to cheer when someone 7’d out.

Total win/loss for the day: $200
Total comps for the day: $148
