Day 14
Friday August 19, 2005

Dining:
For lunch today I met up with my friend Joe. Joe is also a fellow co-worker from back home. We went to Mr. Lucky’s 24/7. I still had one more $30 food coupon available to use and I knew the 2 of us could ring up a $30 tab! I had the Club Sandwich that I tried last week since I liked it.

For dinner we ate at the show since it came with a buffet meal. It had traditional Italian foods starting with salads, Lasagna, Tortellini, garlic toast, and Chicken Parmesan. The food quality was pretty good but nothing outstanding.

Gaming:
After lunch with Joe I hit the craps tables. Brian the dealer said it’s been pretty good all day. I fired it up right and he was right. All shooters were hitting numbers for the most part. I have a few decent rolls but nothing great. There were 2 shooters that made me some money. One was on the other end of the table and rolled for about 20 minutes. He pulled me out of a small hole and I was up quite a bit at this point. I shot next and hit one point before going out. The other shooter that made me a LOT of money was this little short guy they called Gibbs. He was all hopped up on vodka and Red Bull and a lot of fun. This guy rolled for 10-15 minutes every time he got the dice. I eventually had to leave even though I was on a hot table so I could make the show. I cashed out, bought back my marker and made my way to the cage with $1600 in profits!

Entertainment:
Tonight was show night for me. I hadn’t really planned on going to any shows this trip but I was informed earlier in the trip by my friend Anne that her and a bunch of others were going to Tony and Tina’s Wedding at the Rio and there was a ticket for me. This certainly isn’t my kind of show but what the hell. I’ll try it out. The premise of the show is it’s a stereotypical Italian wedding with all the accents and talk. The cast is actually in the crowd and it's like being at a real wedding. It was a funny show but a little too interactive for me.

Total win/loss for the day: $1650
Total comps for the day: $329 <-- High because of Hard Rock charging $299 tonight
