Day 6 Saturday October 18, 2003

Gaming:
Since I have a coupon today for 3X points here at the Fiesta I started the day off with more FPDW and things started off right where they left off yesterday. I hit very few big hands and not enough quads to keep me going. I was feeding in bill after bill. Mike showed and we both we losing our asses. I eventually pulled out of the downward spiral and cashed out down just $100. I can’t believe how bad deuces have been the last 24 hours. After casing out we went to lunch at the Baja Beach Café.

While we were playing Vegas Sue from Las Vegas Talk showed up. While we were talking to her I was paged and it was my friend Dave who I have been communicating with over the net for a long time but have never met. Dave and his wife joined us for some VP before going to lunch.

After lunch Mike says, “Let’s go watch the craps game!” I questioned the term watch and we both bought in. I don’t think we could have timed it any better. The shooter held the dice for about 45 minutes and the table was on fire. We both did great here and quit after this shooter. I finished up nearly $600. This would have been higher had I not had my head up my ass and forgot to place odds on 2 points that hit.

Next move was on to the Las Vegas Hilton to meet up with Rich, Dawn and Jeff at bar. I didn’t gamble at this time and shortly after meeting up with these guys had to go meet up with my friend Anne and mother for dinner.

After dinner Anne and Terry played VP and I headed over to the craps table. The table started off choppy but when it was my turn to shoot there was a don’t player on the other end of the table and 2 on my end. As usual I wiped out 2 of them and ½ way through my roll the guy on the far end switched to the right side. The next shooter 7’d out too fast but the shooter after him did a good job. I colored up here with a $200 win.

I met back up with Anne and we were going to play blackjack. I wasn’t too big on the idea but figured I’d play a little at low limits. Luckily all the tables were packed with exception of the $25 single deck 6/5 game. Maybe players are getting smarter since this table was empty.

Well since we could get to a blackjack game Anne got me to play War. I thought no way so just bought in for $20. This game is just stupid and it’s a killer when you have to go to war. I ended up dropping $25 here after going to war on my last hand and losing.

Now the odd part of the gaming day came when I said let’s play Roulette. Anne didn’t do very good and ran back to the video poker machines. I hit a number straight up with $2 on it for a $70 win and from there it was all up hill! I was hitting quite a few numbers including 1 number with $5 on it for $175. I cashed out here with a $200 profit. It had been over 3 ½ years since I last played Roulette and I did great that time too. It’s a nice change of pace but a tough game to win at.

Dining:
Me and Mike had lunch at the Baja Beach Café and we both had the great Feel Good Soup. It was as good as ever and did the trick. After lunch it was off to the craps table.

For dinner I met Anne, Terry, and Terry’s friend for dinner at the Hilton Steakhouse. Since I had a late lunch we skipped the appetizers and just ordered our meals. I went away from my usual filet and opted for a rib eye. It was cooked perfect and we also had garlic mashed potatoes, au gratin potatoes, and creamed spinach. I’ve never had a bad meal here and Mark our waiter takes good care of us. For dessert we had chocolate covered strawberries.

Total win/loss for the day $850
Total comps for the day $112
