Day 3

I got up at noon today and it was rough considering last night. I had to play my free spins at 1pm so I was forced to get up and motivated. When I got to the free play area the lines were really long. I hate waiting in line so I played blackjack for about 30 minutes to wait for the line to go down. The blackjack table was a double deck and I played 2 hands at $10 each. The cards were running good and I made a few double downs and hit a few blackjacks. I cashed out with a $125 win and saw the line was gone for the free pulls.

The free pulls were loaded as free play on this bank of machines. Slot Director Hal Welch was running things and showed people how to load their free play. You got 30 credits for 15 pulls. I played my 15 pulls and hit nothing. Not one damn payoff on any spins at all. I wasn’t very happy about this. Hal asked if I hit anything. I told him no, not a thing in 15 spins and I was glad I didn’t put MY money in that machine and it’s not very reassuring to a player to see a machine with such a poor payback. I assured him if I were to play slots I wouldn’t be playing those machines. He didn’t seem to give a crap though.

At 2pm I met up with Mike and we went to a meet at the Triple 7 that he had set up on the Las Vegas Talk Discussion Board. There was quite a turn out today for this one. I ordered lunch here and went with my standard favorite, the filet mignon sandwich. It was really good today! I hung out here at the meet until after 5pm. This meet was one of the longest I’ve been at in a while. We finally broke it up and went our own ways.

I needed some rest so I came up to the room and tried to catch a short nap. That’s about all I got but I think it did the trick. I feel much better than I did a few hours ago!

After break time I went over to Main Street Station to check some e-mails and then went back over to MSS to play the 8/5 bonus five play machines. I had a good run going and got plenty of dealt winners and hit a ton of quads. Most of my quads were bonus quads and I hit aces twice. Other than the quads though, I didn’t hit much of anything else. I couldn’t get the meter to go up and during the session was never more than $100 up or down at any point. Well that was until I held 3 cards to a royal and hit one on line 4! The machine locked up and it as a hand pay and this pisses me off when TITO machines need to have a royal hand paid. I got about 3 hours of action in and ran over 10k through this machine. Even though I hit over 20 quads I finished the session down $100 (excluding the royal). I didn’t think this was very good but I couldn’t believe I hit a royal.

I was finally hungry again after playing so I hit the Market Street Café here at the Cal for a turkey sandwich. Everything was good here and I was in and out in no time at all and on my way to bed.
