Day 5 Wednesday December 17, 2003

Hotel:
Checked into Circus-Circus today. I don’t need the room but they sent an offer good for up to 4 complimentary nights and $100 in cash. It’s real cash, not free play. This is based on previous play on my July trip. I needed to make a minimum 2-night stay in order to get the $100 bonus so I’ll be registered here until Friday morning.

Check in was a breeze in the VIP room and I am in room 1154. Unlike last time I stayed here the room was ready, clean and I was right in even though tonight it wouldn’t matter since I’m not really staying here. After checking out the room it was on to the One Club Booth to get my $100 voucher.

Dining:
While I was at the One Club booth getting my cash voucher I also got a comp to the Pink Pony coffee shop. Just my luck there was a small line and my line pass let me cut in front of everyone! I had the fried chicken dinner. It also came with soup and rolls. It was pretty good and did the trick. From here it was on to Slots-a-Fun.

Gaming:
After lunch I went over to Slots-a-Fun because I had heard the 9/6 jacks or better triple plays were back. The reports were right and I once again had my play back at Circus-Circus. I had no luck on these machines tonight. Just like last night at MSS a lack of dealt winners killed me. I put about $7500 through the machine and dropped $200 before giving up. One good note is when I took my 2 free spins as I entered Slots-a-Fun I hit a cherry and won 50 cents! This was the first time I won on this machine in quite a long time!

After getting back to the Hard Rock it was time to hit the craps tables. This table started out pretty even but then got hot. Most shooters held the dice for a while but then 2 shooters would do shitty. Luckily the good shooters out numbered the bad and after 3 hours I was up $800. Finally a decent win at the craps table this trip.
