Day 3
Monday December 18, 2007

I started my day off with an early lunch at the Cal Coffee shop. I had the Won Ton Min which is noodles, wontons, pork and some pink and white crap I flick to the side. It’s pretty tasty and did the trick.

After lunch I hit the Boar Bar and hung out with Bartender Brian and played some $1 video poker. This started out as the session from hell. I was down $100 in 3 minutes, $200 in 8 minutes, $300 in 12 minutes and $400 in 20 minutes. The 5th and final $100 lasted for the next hour or so. I was switching back and forth between bonus poker and DDB and luckily hit my quads on DDB. The one quad I hit on regular bonus was aces with a kicker and it was painful, although it pulled me out of a hole and I finished the session up $100. I also had 5 scratch cards. Three were for $2 and two were for $3.

On the way out I ran into Rich and we talked while he and Dawn waited to check in. They are staying here tonight and we have plans to meet at the bar later on for drinks and video poker.

I left Main Street Station to run some errands and stop at a few stores for a few essentials and gifts then it was off to Paris.

I was at Paris for a meet that was organized on the Las Vegas Talk Discussion Boards (This site is now called Open Vegas) and met with some long time posters that I’ve been communicating with for many years now. The meet lasted a few hours before it broke up.

From the meet I went to the Paris Diamond Lounge for some food. They had the normal selections like sandwiches, fruit, cheese & crackers, and a huge assortment of desserts.

After getting my fill of the diamond lounge I went out and did a little more Christmas shopping. Dealing with crowds isn’t my favorite thing to do and actually doing any shopping at all this time of year is new to me since I haven’t had to in so long.

When I got back to main Street Station I took a much needed nap before heading down to the Boar Bar to play video poker with Rich and Dawn. While we were at the bar I went to the Triple 7 and ordered a Pizza for all of us but I was still full from the diamond lounge so I didn’t have any. The theme of no quads continued as I played for close to 2 hours and didn’t hit any quads. This has been the most painful trip so far because of this. I dropped $500 which has also been the theme every time I play video poker this trip.

After my ass kicking at dollar video poker I played some penny slots. These things killed me as well and I dropped in the area of $40 before moving over to the craps table. This was the first session of dice I’ve played this trip and was hoping for a good one. I had the table to myself and it was choppy at best. I’d make a point and a few numbers and then seven out. I was holding steady at +/- $100 for most of the session. A few others joined me and then it got cold. I was down almost $400 at this time and it was my turn to shoot. I decided to go all in and load up my odds and place $110 on the inside numbers. Well this turned out to be the roll of the night. I was hitting numbers one after another and got my place bets up to $100-$120 each by pressing a unit each time they hit. I went from being down $500 to being up $500 in a matter of minutes. I cashed out the session up $400 to ease some of the video poker losses earlier on.

I was getting tired and decided to pack it in for the night. When I got to the room I realized why I was so tired. It’s because it was 4:30am!!

Total win/loss for the day $0
Total comps for the day $66
