Hotel:
They gave me room 1226 in the Masquerade Tower. I have s trip view and can see from the Venetian all of the way to Mandalay Bay and in the distance all of the way to Silverton. The rooms in this tower are pretty much the same as they are in the Ipanema Tower with a king bed, sectional sofa, coffee table, work desk and TV. The bathroom has 2 sections, one with a long counter, dresser and refrigerator and the bathroom itself with another counter, toilet and bathtub. These rooms also have that ridiculous window that leads to the bedroom.

I started off playing the 8/5 bonus machines with an $1199 royal. I hit one quad here but didn’t do too well. After walking through the casino for a while I stopped at a 15/8 Loose Deuces machine and dropped about $100 before it was time to head off to meet Buddha and Nancy for dinner.
After dinner me and Buddha hit the same 8/5 bonus machines I was on earlier. I wasn’t doing well at first but then I went on a quad run. I hit about 10 quads in the next hour or so including 4 deuces again. I’m really wondering if I’ll hit them on FPDW next time I play. I even hit the 4 Queens to collect my jacket. For those keeping score that’s my second jacket this week! Buddha held his own on his machine but wasn’t hitting many quads. He eventually hit 3’s and cashed out with a small profit and left. We said our good-byes and Buddha was on his way. He’s going home tomorrow. I stayed a little longer and cashed out with $150. Not a horrible day as far as VP goes.
After casing out I went to the slot club and got my double points and a dinner comp with the POV coupon. I’ll be heading back downtown tomorrow to take advantage of that.

Checked out of the Hard Rock today and checked in over at the Rio where I’ll be for the next 2 nights on a mailed offer. I’m a platinum cardholder here so I get to use the special platinum check in area. Normally I don’t like to stay in mega resorts on weekends but I figured I’d hit the Rio for the more expensive nights. I have no plan on playing here since I already have enough tier points to be Platinum for next year. I don’t really like doing 2 night stays at hotels because it seems by the time you check in it is time to pack up and checkout already. Unfortunately this offer was only good for 2 nights though.
Met up with Buddha and Nancy for dinner down at Binion’s Horseshoe. We went to the coffee shop there and dinner was on Buddha’s comp account. It was kind of a birthday dinner for me. I had the T-bone dinner and topped it off with chocolate cake that Buddha insisted I have as my birthday cake!
Went downtown to the 4 Queens to play some video poker before meeting up with Buddha and Nancy for dinner. The plan here was to use the coupon they sent me for double points up to 600 ($3,000 coin in), the POV coupon for comped dinner for 50 points, and hopefully hit 4 Queens on VP to cash in a coupon for a free 4 Queens embroidered logo jacket.
