Day 8

Well I started my day by heading up to Alamo to see what needed to be done about the radio. It was a bit of a hassle but I was able to exchange the car for another Cadillac DTS. This one had just less than 10,000 miles on it and had a different interior than the last one. The worst part about all this was the waste of time and having to reset all of the radio stations!

I left Alamo and went over to Silverton to meet Mike and Rich to play some craps. The table was packed so we hung out for a while. Rich left and eventually we got on the game. This was the table from hell. IT was reminiscent of crapsfest a few years ago. I dropped $500 here and switched to another table that had opened. This table was better, but not by much. The dice just wouldn’t run for more than a number or 2. I dropped another $1000 here for the worst ass kicking at the craps table in a long time. This was also my first losing day this trip and if you count my October trip I went something like 16 days without a loss.

We left Silverton and went to the strip. Mike had gotten us all tickets to go see Vinny Favorito at O’Sheas. Rich and Dawn couldn’t make it so me and Mike went. Vinny is one funny dude and most of his act he works the crowd. He did a little over an hour and puts on a decent show. I found out after the show that these tickets are normally $39.95 each. Even though I thought the show was good and Vinny is funny, these tickets are NOT worth anything near this.

After the show we came over here to Circus – Circus for dinner at the Casino Cafe. I had the French Dip with prime rib with fries. The sandwich was fine but our waitress didn’t seem to be too bright.

After dinner we were walking through the casino and I found a $20 bill on the floor. Not a bad find for a change. Normally I only find change on the floor!

Mike left and I went to get a snack at the Westside Deli for later on. Of course I get the trainee that didn’t know how to run the register and it took me 10 minutes to get an effing Cinnamon Bun and chocolate milk.
