Day 8
Saturday December 22, 2007

To start out the day we hit Mr. Lucky’s for breakfast. I had the American which is 3 eggs, hash browns, toast, bacon or sausage and coffee. Fortunately it’s comped because I’m not a fan of breakfasts that cost $14.95, especially for bacon and eggs. The service was very good this morning but the final tab was $41 and honestly, $41 and breakfast in the same sentence should be illegal.

After breakfast I hit the craps table. I shouldn’t have. This table started out ok but then quickly went to shit when every shooter would roll number, number, and out. This was the shortest session of the trip and I lost more this session than any other one. At this point I’m extremely disappointed at the way craps is going and if it doesn’t turn later this trip I’m really going to have to give up playing this game because my bankroll can’t handle these losses anymore. This is something I’ve thought about in the past and I’m to the point of thinking about it again.

After taking my daily kick in the dick at the craps table I came upstairs to rest for a while. These late nights and early mornings are killing me.

For dinner tonight NNylons is taking me to Hugo’s Cellar at the Four Queens for my birthday dinner. She didn’t know I had gotten it comped from my action a few days ago. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place and she wanted a nice place to take me to so we went with it. This place is old school and your meal is started off with table side salad with your choice of dressings and toppings. The salad was excellent and we skipped appetizers. For my entrée I had the raspberry chicken. Meals here all are inclusive and it came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was tasty but a bit too sweet. It was also over $30 and I’ve always said chicken and $30 should never be used in the same sentence. We were too stuffed for dessert but they do bring out a tray with chocolate covered strawberries, figs and dried apricots. With drinks the bill was $87 and I had a $100 comp so it was covered. A couple could easily do a dinner here for under $100 if they skip the drinks and appetizers.

After dinner I played a few penny slots and then collected my cash back at the slot club that I had earned the other day. I had $94 in my account and it was like a bonus especially after the day I had and the dinner comp.

When we got back to the Hard Rock from down town we called it a night since we were both tired and I was sick of losing!

Total win/loss for the day -$2800
Total comps for the day $401
