Day 11 Tuesday December 23, 2003

Dining:
Anne decided to call me at 9am to go eat breakfast. As you can tell from the previous days in this report I don’t do breakfast. I forced myself to go and tried out the buffet. They are running buffets at ½ price through tomorrow so breakfast is only $3 per person. I thought the buffet today really sucked. The foods were average at best and since it seemed they were getting ready for the transition to lunch many of the items were empty and weren’t being replaced. I had my fill and then it was time for some more gaming.

After Mamma Mia we all went to a local Italian restaurant for dinner. The place was called Bootleggers Bistro and it’s right next to the Belz Outlets on Las Vegas Blvd. The food here was very good but a bit pricey.

Gaming:
After breakfast Anne left and I hit the FPDW progressives. The meter was over $1500 and hadn’t been hit since Sunday night. I had my worst luck yet on this trip as far as video poker goes and in less than 2 hours dumped yet another $400. I’m to the point now where I just don’t understand how I can continually lose 3-5 hundred bucks every session I play and each session I lose at an average of over $100 per hour. I understand the whole deal about volatility but in the last 3 days I played over 15 hours on these machines in the last 3 days and still haven’t hit deuces.

Entertainment:
Went to Mandalay Bay to see Mamma Mia with Anne and her family tonight. I’m not sure if this is the type of show I was going to be into but I’ve heard good things about it so when I was asked if I would go I hesitated. Not so much because of the show itself but because of the hefty price tag of close to $100. The seats couldn’t have been better. We were in the center section just 8 rows up. This show was good but I really didn’t care for it. To me it seemed like it was more of a girl show.

Total win/loss for the day -$400
Total comps for the day $45
