Day 7
Friday December 24, 2004

Hotel:
Today is moving day again for the last time this trip. I’ll be moving to Main Street Station for the next 4 nights with a silver card. A silver card is good for food at all of the downtown Boyd properties in their coffee shops, snack bars, and buffets. I’m surprised I qualify for a silver card this trip because after the changes they made to the comp policies. My play last trip definitely didn’t qualify me. What I really can’t believe is I’m making my final move already and that I’ve been here 6 nights.

As usual there was no one in line at check in. In just a few minutes I was up on my way to room 912. The rooms are all the same here other than 2 queens or a king bed. This room overlooks the freeway.

Dining:
After some quick action at Sam’s Town on the VP machines I made a fast stop at the sports book snack bar and bought a bowl of soup. Yes, that read correctly. I bought it but only because it was easier than going to get a comp at the slot club for $2. I wish Sam’s Town would go to a system where you can swipe the slot card and redeem points.

For a late lunch/early dinner I went to the Market Street Café at the Cal and had the hot open turkey. Service was quick and the food arrived fast. It was tasty and in just a short amount of time I was back on my way to the casino.

After a little VP I went to the Triple 7 BrewPub for a late dinner with Rich and Dawn. I went with my usual Filet Mignon Sandwich with French Fries. It was great like it usually is.

Gaming:
After checking out of Green Valley Ranch I made a quick stop at Sam’s Town. My main reason to stop here was to hit 6X points and get back on the mailing list that I fell off of 18 months ago. While Sam’s used to be my home that changed a few years ago with a new slot club and comp program. Their mail offers are strong though. I wasn’t hitting many paying hands on the machine but then I hit quad aces. Of course the only problem with this is I was playing deuces wild. Aggghh! I ended up dropping $100 and less than 45 minutes and bought in again. A few minutes later when I dumped a junk hand what pops up? Yes, 4 aces again. From here on the machine was getting tight again and I was losing about every hand. Then I hit a quint and then a dirty royal. A few hands later I hit 4 deuces for 1000 coins. This put me ahead by about $130 for the session and I cashed out with the win!

After lunch I hit the 8/5 Aces Bonus machines at MSS. I played for a while but dropped $40 here hitting only 1 quad. I was pretty tired after this (I didn’t sleep well the night before) so headed upstairs for a short nap!

After napping I hit the 8/5 bonus triple plays. This machine was tight. I dropped $100 before I knew it and didn’t hit any quads. The best hand I had dealt was 3 of a kind. I put in a second $100 and hit quad 4’s and then a few hands later hit 8’s. That was it for the session and I cashed out $100 for a $100 loss.

Rich and Dawn arrived about this time and we went to the bar for a while. I played one of those Treasure Chest VP games with no luck dropping a $20 here.

After dinner we all went to the bar and I played the 8/5 bonus in the bar tops. This machine was tight and I’m not sure how I lasted as long as I did. I hit one quad but played for almost 3 hours on $100 before losing it. After this I switched to double bonus and slipped in another $100. I played this game for close to 2 more hours and finally hit quad deuces and cashed out even on double bonus. VP wasn’t good to me tonight at MSS

Total win/loss for the day -$150
Total comps for the day $147
