Day 10
Monday December 24, 2007

Today is moving day so we had to pack up all of our stuff. I had organized a late check out of 2pm through my host to give us a little extra time to get things together. Normally I don’t have any issues moving but since I never traveled with a girl before I wanted to be sure we had plenty of time! (I am ducking down avoiding a smack after this comment).

After checking out of the Hard Rock and seeing that they dinged my comps account for the suite upgrade that was given to me they didn’t comp my food and now I have to go back over there and bitch to my host when he gets back from his vacation later this week. I’m really getting sick of this bullshit I deal with at the Hard Rock when it comes to comps. Add to that the resort fee is now nearly $8 a day.

When I left the Hard Rock I took NNylons to lunch at Olive Garden on Flamingo Rd. This was a surprise for her and I came up with it based on a conversation we had a few month ago. I had spaghetti and meat sauce and minestrone soup. I thought the food was decent and a fair price. What was the only down fall? I paid cash for this meal.

Today’s move is to Planet Hollywood and is the final move of the trip before heading back home. I have really been looking forward to this stay since I have never stayed here. This will be another hotel to add to my long list of places. I booked this room through a host that I met on my trip back in July. He introduced himself and offered me the world for my craps action which was lower than normal on the day he approached me. I’m considered a VIP here even though I have limited play because my host got me upgraded immediately. We’ll be staying here for the next 5 nights and I’m supposed to have a suite and RFB based on previous conversations with my host. I have written confirmation of the suite but I’m skeptical of the RFB portion of this reservation.

When we arrived we went to the VIP check in area which is quite secluded from the rest of the property. Check in went well and my host was actually there. We talked a bit and he had us in a Vista Suite and LRFB, good for all meals at the coffee shop and buffet. We were on our way to suite 1540.

This room overlooks the pool areas, the Project City Center Construction, Bellagio and Caesars. To the other side you can see up to the south strip area. When you enter the foyer of this room has a work desk and 2 separate closets. To the right is a door leading to the bathroom. Straight ahead leads to the bedroom where there is a king bed with night stands, coffee table, sofa, wall unit/dresser combo and another doorway leading to the bathroom.

The bathroom is in sections, the first with a long counter with a sink. There’s not really much in this section. The main part of the bathroom has a vanity area with make up mirror and hair dryer. The toilet is in a separate room. There is also a standing shower stall with plenty of room and bench. Next to the windows there is a large soaking tub. I was a bit disappointed that there were no jets in this tub. I still don’t get spending billions of dollars building a hotel and skimping on the jetted tub.

While we were getting settled into the room, a knock at the door from room service had a delivery of a fruit and cheese assortment from my host. There were also chocolates, cookies and wine.

Dinner tonight was at Planet Daily. This is the coffee shop here and the menu is pretty extensive with everything form steaks and burgers to Chinese and Mexican. I tried out the sweet and sour pork and have to say it was pretty tasty except for it was a little too sweet. Service was attentive tonight and it was a nice change from the shitty service we’d been getting at the Hard Rock.

When we were done with dinner NNylons went to play slots and shop and I hit the craps table. I had established a new credit line and asked for the full line. I was denied and offered only half because it was a new line and they started a new policy.

The table was decent from the start except for a few shooters. I had 2 decent rolls. The table got choppy for a while before coming back. In the end I tried to make something happen with a few larger bets and it didn’t work. I finished the session up a few hundred bucks and called it a night.

Total win/loss for the day $750
Total comps for the day $341
