Day 8
Saturday December 25, 2004
Merry Christmas

Dining:
I met up with Rich and Dawn and we went to the Triple 7 for a light lunch so we wouldn’t spoil dinner. I had a bowl of Caribbean Chicken soup. It was basically a cream of chicken soup with some spices in it. I thought it was very good but it was very filling.

Dinner today is up at Fiesta Henderson. I booked a special Christmas/Birthday dinner through my host here for their Steakhouse Fuego and the Boston’s will be joining me. I went with the filet mignon. I think it was one of the best filets I’ve ever had. It was very tender and melted in your mouth. The meal came with salad, vegetables and a baked potato. It was way too much food. The total bill was $88 for the 3 of us.

After we all called it a night I decided I was hungry. I went over to the California Market Street Café and had a fried wonton appetizer. They were pretty good but they had a little too much onion flavor for me.

Gaming:
I started my day off with some triple play here at Main Street Station. This machine was just gobbling up money. I did get quite a few quads and those kept me in the game. When Rich and Dawn arrived for lunch I was down $64.

After lunch we all went up to Fiesta Henderson. I played some multi strike and did really well hitting a quad on the 2X line and a straight flush on the 4X line for 1000 coins. After this the machine died on me. I went 11 hands in a row where I didn’t get off the bottom line. That hurt and I cashed out with a $200 win.

After dinner me and Rich hit the craps table. This table brought back memories of July during crapsfest. This table was dead but not quite as bad as crapsfest was. I was down hard and decided on my last few chips to bet the dark side. I won a few of those bets and then some little old lady caught a hot roll and wiped out what little I had left.

After the craps massacre I came back to MSS and played some DDB video poker. I wasn’t doing very well but then I hit quad 4’s with a kicker. This brought me back up and I quit with a $64 win.

Next up was some craps here at MSS. They have a $5 game with 20X odds. That’s a bit much for me but it’s nice to know the option of high odds is there if you want them. This table was pretty tough at first. I quickly dropped $350 before it turned. A few decent shooters brought me back up and even ahead. I was about to quit and it was my turn to shoot so I hung around. I made my first point and then loaded up the board hoping for a semi hot roll. Unfortunately I cut my own throat but still finished with a $115 win.

After craps I hung out at the bar playing 8/5 bonus. I played for a couple of hours hitting only 2 quads but finishing this session even.

Total win/loss for the day -$50
Total comps for the day $232
