Day 13
Thursday December 27, 2007

Today is NNylons last day. It is unbelievable to me how fast her trip has gone. It really seems like yesterday I went to pick her up at the airport. The day is already pretty drab because she knows she’s going home tonight and I’m bummed she’s going. We spent the morning and early afternoon in the room just hanging out and she packed and got things ready for her flight tonight. Once all that was complete it was starting to get late so we hit Planet Dailies for a late lunch/early dinner. I had the chicken fettuccini – there version of chicken alfredo. This was pretty good stuff and very rich. NNylons had the rigatoni and there was enough food in her bowl to feed a small army. The service was pretty attentive tonight.

After dinner NNylons wanted to do a little shopping and get some stuff to bring home to friends so we went through the Miracle Mile shops. I really don’t like this place! It’s crowded and unorganized, plus I can go to malls at home!

When we were done shopping it was getting towards crunch time. We came back here to the room to rest up for a bit and then it was time to get going to the airport. We were leaving more than enough time to get there. After the 200 mile walk from the hotel to the parking garage (this place Caesars look like a short walk) we made it to the car. I tried to use valet here but the other night it took nearly 20 minutes for them to retrieve my car so that option is out. They really need to do something about the parking here.

When we got to the airport we saw her flight was delayed by an hour. Rather than leave her sitting there for over 3 hours we got her checked in and then left to take a drive. During this drive I took her around to see a few more places she’d never been to and then we drove through the downtown area so she could take some more pictures.

Now it was getting late so I headed back towards the airport and parked the car. When we went in her flight was still set for 12:30am departure so we waited together for a while before I sent her up to security. I called the “no crying” rule and wouldn’t let her cry until after I left the building. I have to say as I walked out of the terminal I was really bummed out that not only was this part of the trip over but also about how fast it went. NOTE TO NNYLONS: I had the time of my life with you this trip and I can’t wait to do it all over again for your birthday this summer.

From the airport I made a quick stop at Jack in the Box for a few tacos to hold me over for the rest of the night. Since NNylons doesn’t care for this sort of crap I went without for the week she was here.

It was still kind of early and I was flying solo again and didn’t have much to do. Since money was tight due to the losses of the trip so far I pulled into the Hard Rock so I could tap my credit line. This turned out to be the best move of the trip. From the time I got to the table it was pretty hot. Other than a few bumps along the way (read: number, number out) every shooters did well. I was quickly up $2000 and it was a pleasant change from the bullshit that had been happening the last week. As time went on the table stayed hot and the chip stacks grew. Before I knew it I had over 8k in chips in front of me. I played a bit longer taking a shot with some bigger bets but 3 shooters in a row did the unforgivable number, number, out. I colored up with my largest craps win of all time walking out the door with over $5000 of the Hard Rock’s money (actually it was my money that I left there earlier in the trip).

After that great craps session I came back over to Planet Hollywood and paid off everything I owed them off my line and called it a night. There was no way I was going to play more tonight after a kick ass session like I just had at the Hard Rock.

Total win/loss for the day $5150
Total comps for the day $408
