Day 8
Monday April 3, 2000
Up early and down to the casino. I tried some quarter Triple Play and lost $100 instantly. I think I only got about $110 in play. That’s rough. Moved over to the full pay Deuces Wild progressive machines. I did hit the 4 deuces but lost my original buy in and left up $150 at this machine. Up $50 for the day so far.

I left the New Frontier and headed up to Bally’s to meet up with T and D and then over to the Bellagio Fountains for a mini meet with Donna in WA and her husband. They are also frequent visitors of the Las Vegas Talk Discussion Board. We watched a few shows and then went our own ways. Donna and her husband went to Paris and we went to the Flamingo for dinner. We got some comps and went to Lindy’s coffee shop. I had the honey fried chicken which was really good. The service sucked big time here though.

After dinner we walked into the gardens at the Flamingo and then over to the Venetian. D left and went to the IP to meet his dad. T played some Top Dollar slots at the Venetian and got quite a bit of play in but lost. I tried some $1 video poker and I think I won 3 hands on the whole $100 I started with. Since nothing was happening here we walked back up to Bally’s and T got her video camera and I got the car. I drove up and down the strip so she could take some video footage of the lights and hotels on the strip. Even went through the downtown area but there were no shows happening at the time.

I dropped off T at Bally’s and went back to the New Frontier. I played some more on the Deuces Wild progressives and lost $100. Tried a late night special at Orchard’s, The New Frontier coffee shop. I was seated in the smoking section and my meal was pancakes and sausage. This would have been ok except I asked for the non-smoking section and I ordered pancakes and bacon. After I ate I promptly paid my bill and promptly stiffed the waiter. I’m not usually one to do that but when I ask for 2 things and the staff gets them both wrong, a tip is not deserved.

Went upstairs to start packing up a few things since I would be moving tomorrow.
