Day 12
Friday April 7, 2000

Up really early at 8am when T called for breakfast and said her and D were going to the Barbary Coast. I still had a free buffet waiting for me at Bally’s so I declined and went back to sleep until 9. I went to the buffet and had a light breakfast since it was really only a few hours since I had that late night special over at the Barbary Coast.

After breakfast I met up with T and D. I had pretty much decided at this point I wouldn’t be playing much today, if playing at all since I wanted to go home a winner or at least even. They played slots for a while then I had to leave to go to the Hard Rock one more time to finish using up the comps I had left. I was going to be meeting VG from VG Enterprises again and his wife CC. I had $30 in comps left and had to use them up. Gary and me had the steak special and CC had a burger. The steaks were better today than they were a few days before when I got one. It all worked out well when the bill came to about $28. We sat and talked for a while and then we all left. VG and CC were going to the Orleans I was going to go back to Bally’s and rest for a while.

I met up with T and D and we decided to go get something to eat. We each had something different this time. I had some Chinese food at Hamada Express, T had Burger King and D went over to the Imperial Palace and got one of those big nasty hot dogs. These aren’t quite as nasty as the ones you get at Slots of Fun or the Westward Ho though. After dinner we walked over to the Imperial Palace and D went up and got a comp for the Tea House and then we walked back up to Bally’s.

I went to my room to start packing up all my stuff since I was leaving first thing in the morning. I called the casino host about room comps or discounts. He said based on my play I didn’t really have enough they could do anything with. They look for an average bet of $50 per hand for 4 hours to comp the rooms. He said I had the $50 average but it was for less than 2 hours. This was no big deal since the room was only $19, but I would have liked to get a discount on this $129 Friday rate. Oh well, maybe next time. I took a short nap after packing up too. T called the room and asked if I was ready to go eat one last late night special over at the Imperial Palace in the Tea House. Comped of course! I had the prime rib special. It wasn’t as good tonight as it was last week when I had it but hey, it was only $2.95.

After we ate we all went back to Bally’s. I watched them play for a while and then it was time to say goodbye and go up to the room to get a few minutes of sleep before getting up to go home. I always hate the night before I head home if I have a morning flight. I’m always afraid I’m going to oversleep and miss my flight and end up tossing and turning all night long. I finally got to bed at about 2:30am. This doesn’t sound too bad but I had to get up at about 4:30 to get ready and get to the airport.

Total win loss for the day $ 0
Total comps for the day $42
