Day 14
Wednesday December 30, 2009

This morning we were woken up by the sound of slamming doors. I realized it wasn’t slamming doors but it was housekeeping in a nearby room checking the dresser to see that it was empty. I discovered this when Dee checked the dresser.

When we got up we gathered our things and headed out. Our first stop was to pick up our laundry and then to Wal-Mart for a few supplies. Then we headed back downtown to Main Street Station.

We were both hungry so hit the Market Street Café for lunch. We got two for their specials that would be covered with the lunch ticket from the Hawaiian book. Dee got the teriyaki beef and chicken. The chicken was tasty but the beef was totally nasty. I had the Katsu Chicken. This was 2 thing breaded and fried chicken breasts and a sauce that tasted similar to A-1. I’m not really sure what it’s made of though but it was tasty. For dessert we split a slice of chocolate raspberry cake.

Next up we hit the casino for some video poker. I started with the five plays and Dee did triple play. She was doing much better than I was but still losing. I was getting my ass kicked with few dealt winners and a couple of quads. Quickly I was down $200 and switched to triple play. This wasn’t much better. I dropped another $200 and Dee dropped $200 for a combined $600 ass kicking in less than 2 hours.

Once the ass kicking was complete I came up to the room to grab the lap top and we went back down to the WiFi area at Main Street Station to check e-mails and look up a few things before coming up to the room to take a break.

It was now time to hit the casino again and play some more video poker. This session was as bad as the last one overall. I hit aces and two straight flushes and still lost for the session. Dee lost as well and we weren’t hitting much of anything and the dealt winners were sparse.

When video poker was done kicking our asses we played some penny slots. I have very good luck playing these things and tonight was no exception. I hit a number of bonus rounds and had a few hits of a few thousands coins each. I actually squeaked out a $100 win on these tonight. I was joking with Dee that I should give up VP and start playing these full time!

It was getting late now so we headed upstairs to wrap it up for the day.

Total win/loss for the day -$750
Total comps for the day $166
