Day 7
Monday June 28, 2010

We slept in today since we had been on the go so much the last few days. It was nice to not be up at 6am! Once I got caught up on the trip report (that's where we are now at 10:19am) I got ready to start the day!

Today we decided to go shopping at a few more of our favorite stores Bealls Outlets. We hit the one over in Bullhead City as well as CVS for some more supplies and Big Lots too. We scored a few bargains here and then had a mini lunch at Jack in the Box of 4 tacos then we went off to Needles to a Burke's Outlet we'd never been to before. Unfortunately the one in Needles wasn't there any more so instead of shopping it turned into a sight seeing drive and we took the long route back to Laughlin through California. Other than stopping at the state line and snapping a picture by the sign, this was Dee's first trip to California.

When we got back to Laughlin we ran back over to Bullhead City to gas up the car and hit the grocery store for a few food items for the room. Back in Laughlin we hit Burke's Outlets and then came back to Aquarius. We took a break for a while and ordered room service for dinner. I got the fried chicken dinner which came with dinner rolls, broccoli, mashed potatoes and gravy. Dee had the Chicken avocado sandwich and fries. The food was good but it took more than twice as long to get here as they told us on the phone. After over an hour the meal finally arrived. We topped off the meal with a piece of cake we bought earlier at the grocery store.

After dinner we hit the casino for some triple play video poker action. The machines started off hot and we were popping quads every few minutes. There were no dealt winners but we were drawing on most hands. My machine clammed up but Dee hit aces on hers and hovered in the same place for quite a while. I on the other hand started feeding in bill after bill. I was for $300 but Dee had her meter up to almost $300 so we were even. We continued to play and I eventually hit aces as well but at this point Dee was starting to get beat up a bit too. The struggle continued and we were both missing royals by 1 card hand after hand. I popped a few more quads and then got dealt 4 aces for a $300 hit. Dee played down to even and I played until I was up $100 and we quit for the night with a $100 win and a decent amount of play for 2 hours.

I cashed in our tickets and then we walked the casino looking for new games that we might like. We didn't see anything that caught our eyes so Dee played one of her favorite penny games called Kitty Glitter which quickly ate up a $20 bill. We headed up to bed just after midnight.

Total win/loss for the day $100
Total comps for the day $323
