Day 15
Tuesday July 6, 2010

NOTE: There was no gaming action today so if that's what you were looking for please skip to day 16.

Today we got up at 11am and started off the day with the lunch buffet at Main Street Station. We chose this because it's quick and easy and took it pretty easy on the eating again. The best part today was skipping the short line that had formed because I'm at the Emerald Level slot card and we were comped. In other words, we don't wait in no stinkin' lines. The foods were good as usual here with a giant selection.

Since we had enough play in here at Main Street Station we decided to venture out today. One thing Dee wanted to do was see Matsuri at Imperial Palace so we hit the strip and used her 2 free diamond tickets to get seats to the 4pm showing.

For the show we got seats in the middle section at table 27 seat 3 & 4. I had no idea what this show was about going in and thought it was pretty good. Sort of like a cross between a Cirque du Soleil show and Kung Fu Theater. These seats are normally $50 and I'm glad we didn't have to pay for them. The show was good but there are far better how out there for the money. However, there are plenty of options for getting 1/2 price tickets to the show so if you want to see it, that's the way to go.

After the show we went over to Gold Coast to get something to eat at the Noodle Exchange. This is one of our favorite places to eat. They have a variety of noodle dishes and Chinese foods at good prices but the place was packed. Instead we went over to Ping Pang Pong. Neither of us ever ate here before and thought it was pretty good. We started off with the pot stickers and we both had the chicken noodle stir fry. I used points to pay the bill and then it was off to downtown.

Dee was having a craving for soft serve ice cream so we though we'd hit the McDonald's over at the Plaza. When we got there they had a sign up that said they had no ice cream or milkshakes. While we were at the Plaza I noticed they'd cleaned it up quite a bit since the last time I was there so we walked through to look around. I was pretty impressed with how much they've done here and gone was the scent of stake cigarette smoke and piss. As impressed as I was about the clean up of the place, part of me was sad that I really can't trash the place any more. Since the McDonald's didn't have any ice cream we decided to walk down to Fitzgerald's to their McDonald's for ice cream. It was pretty busy in here tonight and after waiting in line for 10 minutes and getting tot he counter to order, the cashier informs us there is no ice cream. I wasn't happy that we waited so long in line to be turned away.

From here we decided it would be easier to go to the California cafe and get dessert there. Dee ordered the banana split and the server warned her it was going to be big. Dee said she could handle it. I got a hot fudge sundae. When it arrived it was huge. Everyone around us was looking and laughing. Dee didn't even come close to finishing it even though she gave it her best.

Even though it was early we headed up to the room to get some extra rest and to pack up for our move tomorrow. I really hate packing and have to thank Dee for helping out and doing the bulk of the packing.

Total win/loss for the day $0
Total comps for the day $192
