Day 17

Today we got up about 9am. Once we were motivated and ready we went down to the casino and played some video poker. We chose a bank of triple plays with progressives for each line and played 9/5 jacks or better. The purpose of this play this morning was to rack up the required points for the free buffets. We both hit a few quads to keep going, including aces as painful as that was but no dealt winners. We got plenty of points for the buffet and won $1.25!
For lunch we had plans to meet up with Jimbo and Katy at the buffet and we had some time before we were supposed to meet them so played a variety of penny slots. I did ok cashing out a pretty big 28¢ win. Dee lost a bit but not too much. While we were playing Jimbo came by and then we all met up with Katy and their daughter and hit the buffet. I know it seems we're being slobs eating this buffet multiple times but for a few hundred in action it's the best deal in town and we haven't been eating full force at it.
When we were done with lunch we showed them our room here at M and they decided they liked it here. Then we went back to the casino to play. Katy and Dee played video poker and I hit the blackjack tables with Jimbo. This table started out tough with the dealer making a lot of hands and I couldn't win a double down for my life. She went on break and the break dealer was great busting lots of times and we were winning our doubles. I got on a decent little roll before things turned bad again. Actually they turned worse than they originally were. I cashed out with a $300 win.
We all met up again to find Dee lost a little at video poker and took a few pictures with the group and we went our own ways. We went around playing a variety of penny slots and pretty much got our asses kicked again. This day was turning into a replay of the debacle at Main Street Station the other day. It's a good thing I won $300 at the blackjack tables.
Dee and I took a break up in the room and ended up falling asleep for over 2 hours. Ugh, it's going to be a late night again. When we got up we went to the Vig Deli for a light dinner. Dee had the turkey wrap and I had a chicken pot pie. Dee liked her sandwich and it wasn't plain old deli turkey, it was real turkey, probably left over from the buffet! My pot pie was good and had a giant puff pastry on top.
From here we played more video poker. Dee hovered for a while but then got beat up only hitting 1 quad. I hit a few more quads and commented that neither one of us has had a dealt quad in a few days. Minutes later I was dealt quad 6's. After I hit those I told her it had been a while since I had gotten a dealt royal but it didn't work, I wasn't dealt one. I got out of the session with a $50 win and we went off to play a variety of penny slots again.
I hovered even the whole time we played but Dee was getting beaten up again. She was hitting bonus rounds and getting zero and less than her initial bet. I think this is bullshit but Dee shrugs it off as part of gambling.
Next we tried a little single line video poker. Dee played bonus and hit a quad and hovered cashing out with a small profit. I played a short pay deuces game just for fun. I was actually doing pretty well sitting there with a small profit when I held a single deuce and the other 3 popped up for a nice $250 hit. I played down a bit and cashed out with the full $250 win easing the pain of today's losses as we wrapped up a fun day.
