Day 19
Saturday July 10, 2010

For some reason today we slept pretty late until 10am. This was strange since we were out by 11pm last night. I'm not sure why we've been sleeping so much especially since we took it easy yesterday.

Anne and Steve were coming over to play for a while and go to the buffet with us. They were running late because of car troubles so we started our day. We were going to do the play and eat promo again Dee and I played video poker to get our points for the free buffet before they got here. Dee did very well playing the same triple play machines. Only bad thing for her session was hitting aces twice while playing jacks. For a change of pace I played a short pay deuces wild game. I started off hitting a wild royal off the top and things were ok from there. I played a while and then it was like someone flipped a switch and shut off the deuces. I ended up down $200 while Dee was still even. While we were playing we were also getting 2X points on video poker again and 7X points on slots.

I moved over to some penny slots that seemed to be hitting quite regularly while we were playing video poker. I was doing ok on the first game and hit a bonus round with 5 free spins. During the spin there's also a symbol for a 10X multiplier. I hit the bonus round for over $200, cashed out and went back to the video poker. Back to the deuces game I went and in no time ran through the $200 I had just won. Dee was still hovering around even for the session as she's been known to do. I went back to slots and lost $50 on the first one I tried. I moved to another game I never played before and hit a bonus round giving me 12 free spins. In that round I hit the bonus again and ended up with 24 spins and each winning spin got a multiplier. This bonus was worth about $100 in total and I cashed out and went to a Bruce Lee machine. I was missing the bonus round by 1 symbol quite often and getting annoyed but I was hitting enough to stay about even. Then I hit a spin with 3 Bruce Lee symbols that expanded to full screen and I had a huge win of over 60,000 coins. I cashed out immediately and went back to video poker. I hovered even while the Hover Queen was still doing the same. She eventually hit a dry spell and just as I thought it was over for her hits quad sevens twice in a few hands. The machine clammed up on her though and she was down $100 about 5 minutes later. She cashed out with a $100 loss and I cashed out my morning with a $300 win netting us a $200 win and more than enough points to do the buffet promo.

Anne and Steve were still at the shop with the car and we wanted to take a break so headed up to the room for rest and to save some bankroll. To make use of our time we started packing up our things because we are moving tomorrow. It sucks each time we move because it means the end of the trip is getting closer and closer. This worked out well as we were pretty well packed up by 4pm and didn't have to worry about doing it later tonight when we were tired or first thing in the morning.

Anne and Steve finally arrived and did their play for the points they needed to do the buffet promo. We played with them for a bit on single line video poker. Dee dropped $100 and I broke even. Anne and Steve were both a little short on points so we both played on their cards for a bit. They were too close at that point to give up and pay. Dee got Anne's card to the points she needed and closed the session with a quad! I topped off Steve's card and broke even. I thought this was great because normally when I need a few extra points to max out a promo I get killed. By this time there was a huge line so the wait was going to suck. It moved quickly until we were almost to the part where they seat you. While we were waiting Stacy arrived. She had just seen a movie up at Red Rock and came to hang out with us. Finally we all went into the buffet and visited and ate and had a good time together. As much as we try not to over eat, its tough when you're at a buffet with such great food.

When we finished eating we showed everyone the room at M. They were impressed and wanted to stay in it. Stacy even said she's sleep in the bathtub and we wouldn't even know she was there. We finished up our visit and said bye to everyone as it wouldn't be until the next trip that we would see them.

We went back to the casino and ran into Stacy. We played a variety of penny slots and got beat up a little but nothing major. I had a few decent hits on some of the penny games but the bonus rounds were sparse in between hits. Dee went back to video poker and I joined in. She was destined to hit one of those progressives but just as we got there a guy had gotten a dealt royal and wiped out all of the meters and they were all reset at $1000. I dropped another few bills playing and didn't have many hits at all. Dee, the hover queen played for quite a long time on $100 bill. Her hits included a straight flush, and multiple quads including stupid aces and dealt aces. I think in total today she hit aces 7 times but unfortunately they were all on jacks or better.

I took a break from the machines and left Dee at the video poker and hit the blackjack tables. The table I sat at was miserable. All of us players were getting crap hands and busting out with one hit while the dealer would hit her crap hands 2-3 times. Add to that whenever we would double we'd draw the small card and she's flip over a 20. I ran away from this table after dropping $500 in no time at all. This was a lot considering I was flat betting and only doubled 3-4 times. Dee stopped by on her way to bed and handed me her cash out ticket from video poker. It was for $1.25 so I knew she had lost again.

I moved to another blackjack table and things were much better here. I got a few blackjacks from the start and the dealer was actually breaking when she hit. I played 2 hands and progressed my bets. Things got pretty good for a while and my stack was growing before there was a slow down in the action. I was winning a fair amount of my double downs but I was still getting 3's and 4's. The dealer was busting though so it helped. I knew it was getting late when the pit boss started closing tables and raised the minimum bet for new people at our table to $50 from $15. I was getting tired and the dealer was getting hot so I finally colored up with a little over $1300 for an $800 win at this table and $300 overall.

When I got upstairs the clock showed it was 2:30am. Dee woke up when I walked in and I told her of my adventures and then it was off to sleep.

Total win/loss for the day -$250
Total comps for the day $240
