Day 4
Tuesday December 14, 2010

We started off today by stopping at the slot club for more gifts. Dee took the mystery gift that was a travel coffee cup. I used my wine coupon but since they only had rose left offered me the chance to have a bottle of Cuervo instead. I took that and now we've got 3 of them. Someone is going to get them as a nice gift!

For breakfast we were going over to the Silverton for breakfast at the Sundance Grill. They recently made a change to their slot club and I had some old table game comps that were going to expire in spring so we wanted to use them up. I ordered a sausage & cheddar omelet and Dee had mushrooms, Swiss, chives and bacon. The food came out quickly but my omelet didn't look right when the server sat it down. It actually looked identical to Dee's so I sent it back because this boy doesn't eat fungus. While we ate we played 5 games of Keno picking 6 numbers. We did so well I don't think we had 3 numbers in all 5 games combined.

On the way out the door I popped a $5 bill into a penny slot and cashed out at $6 and change just for fun and to say we won. Our next stop was back down to Tuscany to play on their gift card promo again. We settled in at the triple/five play machines once again and we were off to the races. We were both hovering even for the first part of the session and then things got bad. I was feeding in bill after bill and Dee ended up needing another bill too. Eventually we were in for $500 before things settled down. I scored a few quads one after another to get some more ammo but Dee dropped her second bill just short of a second card. I had already made enough points for a second card and gave her my tickets so she could finish up. She didn't hit anything special but hit her goal and made $2 as well. I took the ticket back as I was close to a third card and a few hands in got dealt a straight flush. This really saved us for the session and we only ended up losing about $175 but hey, we scored $50 in Wal-Mart gift cards.

When we were finished at Tuscany we made a quick stop at Walgreen's for a few items and then Dee wanted to go to Ethel M's to see the Christmas display in their cactus gardens. We also looked in at the chocolate factory and watched them make what looked like peanut brittle and then headed back to M.

On the way back to M we stopped off at Barley's to show Dee what it was and told her of the days they used to offer good VP and had a free pizza coupon in the Las Vegas Advisor Pocketbook of Values. After they got rid of that coupon and the decent VP they lost me as a player. I hadn't been there in years but the place hadn't changed at all.

When we got back to M we played some single line machines. We both started with bonus poker but then I realized the ACE$ Bonus had a full pay table on it so we switched over to that. I had lost $50 there so switched to double-double hoping for a quad to get back to even. I never hit a quad and ended up losing yet again. Dee had switched to regular bonus and scored quad 3's, kings, and aces but the VP gods went to bed after that and she ended the session even.

Since last night was a late night and this morning was an early start we took a break and napped for an hour or so before getting ready for dinner. Tonight we were hitting the buffet one last time to use the coupons from the mailers. These were also VIP line passes which came in handy today because the lines to get in were long. We were seated almost immediately and I had a huge grin on my face when we walked past everyone that had been standing there. Once again the foods were all fresh and good and our server did a great job clearing the dirty dishes and keeping the drinks full.

When we rolled out of the buffet we hit the triple play machines again. We decided to slow things down we'd do a round of "ticket boy" play again. The session was rocky with most rounds being losers. We did manage to score a few quads including me hitting a set of aces to keep us going. After about 4 hours we had dropped about another $400. It seems after those 4 royals the other day we can't seem to hit anything.

We took what was left of video poker money and played a variety of penny slots. We got some decent play out of what was left and after another hour or so it was after midnight and we decided to go to the room. We packed up some of our things because we would be moving tomorrow and didn't want to mess with it then. That's where we are in the report right now. It's now just after 1am and I'm going to bed. Dee's already sound asleep!

Total win/loss for the day -$800
Total comps for the day $235
