Day 16

Happy Boxing Day to all of my Canadian readers!
We slept in again today and then got started with lunch at the Market Street cafe. We both ordered the meatloaf special which is one of our favorites.

Next we went out to the Cannery for a change of pace and to play on their gift card promo. We started out on Dee's card and maxed her out with a $40 loss between us. We switched to my card and things got ugly. Between us we dropped another $300. I also qualified for a free buffet and Dee had one from last time we were here so we ate dinner at the buffet.

The buffet is pretty good here but nothing nearly as good as M offers. On the same note it's only 1/4 of the price too!

We left the Cannery and headed to the Strip so we could check out the new Cosmopolitan. We parked over at Bally's and walked up the strip to Cosmo. The place was fairly busy and not packed as I was expecting it to be. The place was very nice and pretty glitzy. It's not exactly my type of casino because it's on the strip and higher end but I would say it was nicely done. My only issue with it is they seemed to put the table games too close to the main walkways and I could see that being an issue in the future with gawkers bumping into seated players.

From Cosmo we went over to Paris and saw Ned the dealer. We got caught up since our last visit since he was on a dead game of 3-card poker before going over to Bally's. At Bally's we played some short pay triple play video poker to top off Dee's card to diamond. We got the required play to push her just over diamond but lost again due to a lack of dealt winners.

We went back to Main Street Station after this and played another session of video poker. Nothing too notable about this session but we did lose another $100 between us keeping with the theme of being losers.

We finally went to bed around 2am.
