Day 5
Saturday June 25, 2011

We started off today with a little lunch over at the California Snack Bar. I had an order of Chili Cheese Fries and Dee had Chicken Katsu. I always like eating here because it's quick and easy and the food is good.

Today is Yahtzee's Annual Crapsfest so we headed back over to Main Street Station to join in. Crapsfest is nothing major. Just a meet of fellow craps players we know getting together for a fun game as a group. Attendance was low this year and it was 6 of us and only 3 played. The table was choppy at best and we had 2 decent rolls, one of which was Mike's. I ended up quitting down just under $200 as the bleeding continued.

After the game it was time to get something to eat so we hit the Triple 7. There were 5 of us in total. I wasn't too hungry since we ate lunch just a few hours ago. I had chicken wings and Dee had some breaded fungus. The foods were good and we hung out for quite a while having a good time.

After the Crapsfest lunch was finished we hit the VP machines at the Boar Bar playing 9/6 jacks or better. Between us we got only 2 scratch cards. The VP gods sure aren't with us so far this week. We moved to some triple play and it was more of the same. I scored 2 quads but that was all. Dee also hit a quad but it disappeared as fast as it hit. All scratch cards except for one were $2. That one was for $3.

Mike was going to head back over to his hotel to rest so we said our goodbyes. We might meet up again in December during the Christmas Birthday trip.

We took a break from playing VP by playing some penny games after this and didn't do very well here but lost far less than we were losing on video poker. We did try the new American Idol slots but those kind of sucked. I got in on a community bonus and it was pretty boring. I also hit a bonus on my machine but that's wasn't very good either.

We took a break up in the room after before going to dinner down at the Market Street Cafe at the California. Dee didn't come because it was late but I was starving. I ordered the 2's company breakfast which is 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and 2 strips of bacon (or sausage).

When I was done eating I hit the VP machines at MSS again. I switched between triple and ten plays and had decent results. I hit a few sets of aces and various other quads. It was too bad none of them were bonus quads though. For a while it seemed like the slot attendants were wearing a hole through the carpet I was hitting so many. By the end of the night I hit 14 quads and all of the scratch cards were worth $2.

I was also happy to see that the old triple/five play machines outside the buffet have been replaced with new larger flat screen versions of all of the same games. No more straining your eyes looking at those tiny burnt screens that were here for so many years!

Total win/loss for the day - $200
Total Comps for the day $254
