Day 7
Monday June 27, 2011
This morning we started off with a meal at the Cal Snack Bar. Dee tried the chicken katsu again and I only ordered a soda because I had lunch plans with my friends Gary & E.

When Dee was done I headed over to the Gold Coast for lunch at the Noodle exchange with my long time friend Gary & his other half E. I ordered the pork tenderloin noodle soup and when it arrived it was the one I didn't care for that much. It was still good though. The service was a little slow today but not too bad overall.

While I was at Gold Coast Dee played video poker at Main Street Station. I of course wasn't there but the results weren't that good but she got some decent play time. The end result was down about $150 with 6 quads and a straight flush. All her scratch cards were for $2.

When we left the Gold Coast I came back to Main Street Station for quick break and to pick up Dee and to head out for the afternoon and evening.

It was off to the Thomas and Mack Center. Just before we came out I found out the WWE Monday Night Raw was going to take place here and scored some tickets to the show. Yeah, I know. It's fake and it's crap but it IS fun. This was a double event as they were going to go live on USA Network tonight and were also taping for next week. I've been watching this crap for over 30 years now and I'm always entertained. The tickets were pricey at $60 each plus a bunch of fees and taxes. The seats were pretty good in Section 118, Row N, Seats 4-5. We had a good view of the ring and the stage and had a good time. They also taped some matches for Superstars on WGN that will air this Thursday night. The show lasted for about 5 hours and was quite long but a fun night of sports entertainment.

When the show was over we headed back downtown to Main Street Station and went right over to the California for a late dinner. The place was packed but we were able to get seats at the counter. Dee had the 2's company and I had the hot turkey sandwich. I think we've finally scored all of our favorite meals here at the Cal this trip and over at Main Street Station as well. The food here was good like it usually is and we were on our way back over to Main Street Station.

I hadn't played at all today so I used the rest of Dee's ticket from this morning on some triple play action. I popped a quad right away and was hoping for some similar results from yesterday but that didn't happen. I was getting low paired to death and couldn't connect on any of them. I dropped $100 and cashed out the rest of the ticket and gave up. My one scratch card was for just $2.

Back up in the room we had to pack up our things and get ready for tomorrow's move. We didn't unpack all of our stuff so it didn't take long to do. That's where we are in this report right now. With that said I say good night. More to come tomorrow!
