Day 10
Thursday June 30, 2011
Today we were all up early packed and ready to roll. We started off with a breakfast buffet from the vouchers we earned yesterday. The foods were all good and we all left full.

Before checking out I checked with the slot club about getting some of the room charges comped. They contacted the host on duty and he was able to comp one night as my play was a little light this visit. I cashed in some points to cover the balance of the bill.

We headed out of Suncoast and hit the road. Today we are taking Rick and Wendy to Laughlin to show them to town since they've never been down there. This is just a one night trip which I'm not a fan of but the main goal was to show them what it's like down there, do some shopping and score some free play.

On the way we stopped off in Henderson and dropped of our dirty clothes at the laundromat for fluff and fold service and then got back on the road.

It was early so we made our first stop over in Arizona to shop for a bit at Bealls Outlet looking for some bargains. From there it was back over to Laughlin.

We arrived at the Aquarius where we'd be staying for the night. I booked 2 rooms through our host here and she reserved 2 nice river view rooms for us. We also had $250 in free play between us ($175 for me from a mailer, $40 for Dee from her mailer and $35 for her birthday from our host). We checked in at the VIP room and everything was in order. We were given rooms 4074 and 4069. The rooms here are basic with a king bed, nightstands, work desk/table, dresser and TV. The bathrooms are small with a nice vanity, toilet and tub.

Once we were settled into the rooms Rick and Wendy went to the pool and we went over to the outlet mall to look for a few more bargains. When we were done we hit the casino to use our free play. This was a great session and Dee was doing so well with her free play she switched to dollar action. She pumped the meter up to $600 at one point but then hit a dry spell and quit with $300. I did well with my $175 but not as good as she did. I cashed out a ticket for $100.

Next up we met Rick and Wendy at the buffet for dinner. This buffet is basic but decent but highly overpriced tonight at $18 and that's after a 25% discount for having a players card. It does offer free beer, wine and margaritas so that's where some of the price comes from. We ate too much and then headed our own ways for the evening.

We took a walk down the Riverwalk and stopped in at the Golden Nugget for a break and to run through $50 in free play they sent me. The plan here is to run it through and cash out any profits. While this might affect my future offers I'm not really worried about it. I started off playing some tight short pay deuces game. After that I switched to one of those new Wheel of Fortune games with the giant screen where the bonus rounds are displayed. Dee played some regular Wheel of Fortune. By the time I was done I still had $50 and Dee won $10 after hitting the 175 coin spot on the Wheel.

We came back to the Aquarius to play more video poker. They were running a promo that for every 5000 base points you earned you got $25 in cash and you got to keep the points. Dee got close this afternoon so we topped her off and she scored the $25 bonus. We switched to my card after this and continued to play. Dee was on fire again switching between quarters and dollars. Her timing was a bit off though when she switched back to quarters and got dealt deuces. She went back to dollars after that with no luck. She went back to quarters and a few hands in got dealt aces. She was a little disappointed at the timing but continued to pound away though and I moved up to 50¢ and nailed a few quads. I was now at over 5000 points now so we cashed out our tickets with a nice hefty profit for the day while I went to get my money. We started fresh again with $100 each and decided we'd play through or rack up more profits. We were both hovering and then I scored a royal on the bottom line of a 3 card hold for $1000. I cashed out an $1100 ticket and put in a fresh $100. We continued to play but Dee's fire went out and I cashed out with another $1.25 in profits. All this action was started off with the free play we used this afternoon and technically we never used any of our own cash to play today. THIS is my kind of day!

Total win/loss for the day $1950
Total Comps for the day $638
