Day 13
Sunday July 3, 2011
This morning we hit the pool with Rick & Wendy. Things weren't as busy here today and the sun wasn't scorching us because it was overcast. The water was refreshing and we hung out here for a few hours.

When we were done at the pool, Dee, Rick & Wendy went to lunch at the Island Breeze Cafe. Dee covered the meal with her points and they were all happy that Dee had a diamond card and was able to bypass the lengthy line that was formed outside the restaurant.

I had Jack in the box for lunch on my way to the Pinball Hall of Fame. The others weren't interested and since I missed going here last trip today’s my day to go. I spent about 4 hours over here playing all the classic pinball and video games they have here. This is one of the best values out there and not only fun but a neat history lesson in how games have changed over the years with technology. It's also great bankroll preservation and in over 4 hours only spent $10.

After their lunch Rick and Wendy went out on their own and Dee played while I was out. We both had a coupon for earning 50 points and getting $70 cash for her and $50 cash for me. She played some 7/5 bonus triple plays only to the 50 point level and hit aces and various other quads. She cashed out up $132.75 and had enough points on each of our cards to get the bonus.

We had plans to meet Rick and Wendy of at the Caesars diamond lounge. On the way over we stopped at the Absinthe ticket booth to pick up our tickets. Everything was surprisingly in order and we were off to the diamond lounge. I was surprised at how packed this place was and we had to wait for about 10 minutes to get in. I'm amazed at how people act for this mediocre food. Today they offered a few salad type things and dips and for hot food they had chicken skewers and chicken wings. We had a few servings with drinks and some cookies for dessert and headed out to the show.

The show is in a tent outside of Caesars and the tickets we had were all general admission so we got in line. While we were in line a major thunder storm came through and soaked everyone. We were in a good spot so ducked under the bar tent. The staff here wasn’t prepared for an event like this and was acting like real assholes about it. They refused to open the doors to the tent early saying they were still setting up for the show and most people were drenched. Then when they finally opened the doors the people that were at the end of the line ran to the doors and were let in before those of us that had been waiting for 45 minutes. I've never seen a more unprofessional staff at a show in my life.

The show was fun and entertaining and to describe it I can only say it's like Cirque meets up with your favorite dirty comedian. The acts were amazing and the comedy was funny as I like dirty jokes. Just to warn anyone that might be offended by dirty humor. Before the show starts they say if you're offended by words like FUCK and SHIT you're probably at the wrong fuckin' show. The main host, the Gazzillionaire uses the eff word more often than I do which is LOTS!

Since it was still early after the show we all decided to go Downtown for the evening. Before we left we stopped by the total Rewards booth to get our bonus cash. Dee had no issues but I was told that I wasn't booked on that offer and I couldn't get the cash. The guy told me I could go to the VIP check in area and have them switch my reservation to this offer and then I'd get it. I declined this because I had booked my room through online reservations and listed Dee as a companion in order to score a GO room. Then we booked a room in Dee's name to get a second room and I didn't want any issues. The funny thing is Dee wasn’t booked on this offer either. She was booked on her diamond renewal offer. We still ended up with $70 in bonus cash and $132 in profits so it all worked out well in the end.

When we got downtown we all split up and me and Dee went to the 4 Queens. I had an offer for $50 in free play. We checked Dee's card too but she didn't have anything available. We sat down at some 9/6 jacks machines. Things were rough here but I did score a straight flush. I was switching between quarters and halves and even took a quick shot at the end at dollars with no luck. I lost the free play plus $100 and Dee lost $100 as well wiping out the Flamingo profits but leaving us even for the night.

We left the 4 Queens and went over to the front of the Las Vegas club to meet up with Rick and Wendy. While we were there we caught an 80's cover band and watched the freak show known as downtown. The oddest character was the guy in his knee high leather booths, low cut top and denim mini skirt. Yes, it says guy. You just never know what you'll see down here! The funniest thing was when a guy blatantly started shooting video of him with his phone and was only about 5 feet away while he did it. I laughed and told Dee it was probably already on You Tube 30 seconds later.

We grabbed the car back over at Main Street Station and I popped in to say bye to Ronnie because I didn't get to see him before we checked out last week.

We got back to the Flamingo at about midnight and crashed for the night.

Total win/loss for the day $0
Total Comps for the day $840
