Day 18

We started off early today and hit the pool for a while. We got there when it opened and it wasn't long before it was busy. We spent a while here though before coming back to the room to get ready for the day.

We started off by going over to Arizona to gas up the car for Sunday's move back to Vegas and then over to Harrah's. The first thing we did here was hit the Beach Cafe for lunch. I had chicken cordon blue and Dee had Baked Ziti. The meals also came with soup or salad. Dee's came with garlic toast and mine came with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The food was really good but my chicken was grilled instead of breaded like I'm used to.

Next up we swiped at the Total Rewards Center to get credit for the visit in their current promotion. If you visit 3 properties in their empire you get 15,000 reward credits and an additional 15,000 for each thereafter up to 60,000 points ($600 in comps). You also have to earn 1 point at each property you visit. We played a little bit and lost a few bucks but nothing major. Dee also had a $13 coupon for free play that we ran through on a nickel machine with no luck.

We left Harrah's and came back to the Aquarius and played a little video poker. We had bad luck again getting little play. Dee lost a little bit and I was able to cash out even after hitting a set of aces.

We took a break in the room for a while and then got ready for a VIP Cocktail party that I for some reason got when we checked in. When we got to the VIP room they had free dinks and some appetizers set up. There were a few hosts in there mingling with the guests too but ours wasn't there. It was a little like a mini diamond lounge.

After the little party we hit the VP machines again with very little luck. Dee managed to get ahead a little but I dropped a few bills. She switched over to single line dollars and got no play at all out of it.

We played some penny slots after this ass kicking. I hit a few bonus rounds but nothing worthy of keeping ahead. Dee cashed out with a $51 ticket and tried Megabucks and burned through the whole $51 without hitting a single payout. This isn't the first time this has happened on this machine and I'm never playing it ever again.

We went back to video poker again after this and it was still more of the same. Very few dealt winners or quads. I don't think Dee hit a quad at all this afternoon or evening. It's been a killer day so far and it's still early so we are here in the room taking a break.

After our break we went down to the Aquarius Cafe for a late dinner. We both had breakfast selections with Dee getting a breakfast skillet and I got the Gambler's Breakfast. This was 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and choice of meat. I chose the corned beef hash tonight. Dee's skillet had eggs, cheese, potatoes, peppers, and onions.
