Day 19
Saturday July 9, 2011
We got up early again this morning to hit the pool before the heat got too hot and the crowds got too big. We stayed here for a while and then got cleaned up and headed downstairs for the brunch buffet. They gave us a special voucher at check in for this buffet today and those of us using the coupon got to sit in a special area with table cloths and cloth napkins. There was also a table set up with a few different items like lox and champagne and pastries that the regular portion of the buffet didn't have. The buffet was the same as it usually is with all the basics and nothing spectacular.

We hit the video poker machines again after breakfast and this time used Dee's card to use her free play and to put some action on her card so her mailer amounts would go up. We started off at the triple plays but Dee got whacked quickly losing $100. I cashed out with a $50 loss and we moved to quarter single line games. I started off well hitting quad 10's followed by deuces twice. Dee popped a few quads too and hovered for a long time. I drew a straight flush followed by quad 3's. Dee's machine cooled off and she started losing but I was carrying the two of us and was dealt a second straight flush for the session and a few more quads including a set of aces. Dee eventually lost all her money but I cashed out the session with a $350 after being up almost $400. All in total so far today we were up $100.

We came back to the room when we were done and packed up some of our things and took a nap. We must have been tired because we ended up napping for 2 hours. When we finally peeled our asses out of bed we went to dinner at the Aquarius Cafe. Dee got a milkshake and the signature sandwich again. I had the prime rib special that came with soup or salad (I had the cream of chicken and wild rice that was VERY good), mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, a dinner roll and ice cream for dessert. Everything was great here tonight and we rolled out stuffed.

After a quick break up in the room we hit the casino in search of some nickel 10 play games at Dee's request. The paytables were 7/5 for bonus so I wasn't thrilled with them. Dee hovered for quite a while on her money and cashed out down $75 after quite a bit of play. I dropped $100 in no time and popped in another one. I switched to spin poker and got back within $20 of being even but then the quick drain happened and I busted out dropping $200.

We moved over to the triple plays for quarters again and Dee got killed without hitting much of anything. She switched machines and got a little more action than she did out of the first machine but dropped a total of $200 here. I was doing well at first running my $100 up to over $200 with no major hits. Then the quick drain happened to me and I went from $215 to nothing in what could be near record time. I kept getting what I call low paired to death meaning I was consistently dealt a low pair and couldn't improve it on any line. I was not happy about the fast losses today because I wanted to play more but I had to try and protect some of the nice gains we've made this week so I quit.

We went over to the slot club to cash in my points. They took 94,999 points from me and that got me $158 in cash back which helped ease some of the pain for the day but the losses for the last 2 days combined aren't pretty. After getting my cash at the cage we came back up to the room to pack it in for the night and then went to bed listening to the pounding noise of the outdoor nightclub with all 10 of its customers.

Total win/loss for the day - $350
Total Comps for the day $558
