Day 13
Thursday August 9, 2012
We slept in a little late again and Dee wasn't feeling well so decided to rest for a few more hours.

For me, it was time to hit the casino. One of my perks with the room offer is the opportunity to get 6 points per dollar played instead of just 3. Because of this we chose today to be the day where we would play the most. I went to the kiosk to activate these bonus points and to also redeem my $50 in free play. I took a shot starting off with dollar jacks or better. This worked out well when I hit quad 7's, a straight flush and then got dealt quad deuces. I was up almost $400 at my high point and finished the session with a $200 win.

I took that $200 over to the blackjack tables hoping to get on a roll, while watching the Yankee game on the TV. Unfortunately the dealer was hot and was pulling hands out of her ass. I was actually down to my last bet a few times and had a mini come back getting to within $50 of even. She started to get hot again so I colored up with just a $100 loss. The Yankees beat Detroit 4-3.

Dee was still up in the room and neither of us had eaten anything other than snacks this morning so I got a comp from the kiosk to Panda Express and got us a 2 entree combo to go. I selected their signature orange chicken, broccoli beef and chow mien (lo mien to us east coasters). One thing I can always say about Panda is it's consistent from restaurant to restaurant.

After lunch Dee got ready and then we got a phone call from our friend Carol who we had plans to meet here at Aliante. We haven't seen her since back in October. For dinner with Carol we hit the buffet again to use up the other 2 free buffets my room offer came with. We had a good visit and spent a long time in the buffet so left an extra tip because the server probably lost a table or 2 because we were there so long.

We said our goodbyes, Carol left and me and Dee hit the casino. Once again we went over to the jacks or better games and started to plug away. I was on the fast track to busting out but then hit 3 quads in a short time, along with 3 full houses in about 10 hands. Dee was hovering around even as usual before she started going downhill but that's when it happened. She held QT and filled a royal for the second time this trip.

We continued to play and for the first time playing jacks this trip I lost my whole bill. She was still plugging away and even though had hit a royal she hadn't hit any quads yet. That's when she hit aces, ugh. As painful as it was she was glad to finally hit a quad. A short time later she did it again, and again with aces. I hadn't played deuces in a long time so I switched over to deuces wild. I had to play really slow because I haven't played deuces in a long time and had to stop myself from holding high cards. I lost a few 20's here and Dee cashed out dropping a total of $100 but we had a good day all in all.

I still had $50 in free play so we chose a Gold Fish slot to run it through for some fun. We didn't get any major hits and churned the $50 in free play into about $40 cash. We also took a shot with a $20 in one of the newer Wheel of Fortune machines with no luck.

Before we packed it in for the night Dee hit the ladies room so I popped a $5 bill into a penny game. There were no major hits but I scored a bonus round with 25 free spins at triple pay and scored over 1700 credits. I cashed out my machine with $20 for a $15 win on a bathroom break to wrap up the night.

Total win/loss for the day $850
Total Comps for the day $167
