Day 14
Friday August 10, 2012
Today we started off by ordering room service. Dee got an omelet and I got the corned beef hash platter with 2 eggs. The prices were pretty high with the bill coming in at $34 after tax, tip and delivery fee. I never got the delivery fee for room service they add to the bill. Aren't the over inflated prices enough that they don't have to nickel and dime me with bullshit fees? Dee said her meal was good. Mine was fair at best. The hash was burned to a crisp. Don’t' get me wrong, I like a little crispiness on the hash, but this was crazy. The hash browns also seemed to be cooked or marinated in vinegar. This was strange so I didn't eat many of those. The toast was good though!

After breakfast I packed up our things and loaded up the car. Checking out was easy and I was able to go to a kiosk to printout a voucher for $34 to cover the bill from breakfast.

We made a quick stop at the CVS across the street from Aliante Station and then hopped on the beltway to Summerlin landing at Suncoast where we'd be spending the next 4 nights. 2 of the nights are comped on a mailer and come with $25 free play per day and $25 food per day. The next 2 nights were comped through a host with no extras.

When we arrived we were able to check in and we assigned room 420, a handicap room with a king bed, night stands, small dinner table with 3 chairs, work desk, couch, and 42" flat screen TV. They converted the old dresser/TV cabinet into a nice little unit that hold the safe and fridge. The bottom is still a dresser. This room is a bit low in the tower so the view is restricted but we can see the strip and Red Rock Casino from here.

The bathroom is roomy with a single sink on the vanity, and toilet with bars around it. There is no tub in here luck the regular rooms have but there is a roll in shower with bars all around the perimeter.

Once we checked the room over I ran up to the car to get our things. On the way through the casino I stopped and popped a $10 bill into a new Price is Right machine. In just a few spins I hit a bonus round that gave me 10 free spins. This almost doubled me up and I continued on, hitting a different bonus twice and holding steady. This game has stacked symbols. On one spin I had a bunch of Manuelas (one of the models on the Price is Right TV show) stacked up all over the screen. 3300 credits later I had a ticket worth $50.

Once we got the stuff up to the room we rested for a while. We had a late night last night and were up early today. After the refreshing break we headed downstairs.

The first stop was dinner at Cafe Siena to use up the $25 food credit that came with the room tonight. Dee had the club sandwich and I had the Cafe Noodle Soup off the Chinese menu. The soup is a big bowl of noodles, with choice of meat (I got pork), bok choy, carrots and mushrooms (which were flicked because this boy doesn't eat fungus). Dee's sandwich came with a pickle and fries. My soup was good and tasty and filling. Dee liked her sandwich but it was dry because they seem to have forgotten to put mayo on it. We capped off the meal by splitting a banana split (no pun intended).

Now it was time to play. I found a bank of single line games with 8/5 bonus on them. I was getting killed while Dee hovered as usual then things flipped. I scored a few quads and got back over even while Dee struggled to get a high pair. I ended up cashing out even but Dee lost her whole bill.

Next we tried our luck on some dollar video poker. We played for a while and I scored a set of dealt deuces for a $200 hit. I continued to pull flushes and full houses while Dee struggled to pull much of anything although she was hovering quite well. She eventually lost her bill but I was able to hang onto my deuces money so we cashed out up for the session.

To finish off the night I activated my free play and chose to play it through an assortment of penny slots. We machine hopped and played for quite a while but eventually lost the $25 and called it a day.

Total win/loss for the day $100
Total Comps for the day $194
