Day 15
Saturday August 11, 2012
Today we slept in and then started off the day by going to the pool. The pool here is small and it's actually not large enough for a hotel of this size and gets packed quickly. We picked a spot up on the hot tub deck in the sun but it was really hot today so we moved over to the shaded side. We spent a few hours up here just chilling out. NOTE: You can still catch a sun burn while sitting in the shade so be careful!

We got ready and started our day after pool time. We hit the Deli for lunch and Dee got fish and chips and I had a hot turkey sandwich. I like this little deli and the food is always quick and good.

After lunch it was time to hit the casino. This place was packed today and the aisles are small so pushing Dee around in her chair was a bit of a challenge. We started off playing dollar video poker and I hit a set of deuces again for $200. I hovered for a while but Dee got beat up again. It’s strange how she's usually the one that hovers. We switched machines and she got beat on again. I was doing ok staying alive but then it was like someone flipped a switch and I lost very quickly. I cashed out with just $50 of my original buy in and we went in search of some lower limits.

We ended up parking at a penny 100-play machine. The pay table is horrible at 6/5 for bonus poker but even with the pay table being poor, I figured it's got a fun factor and fairly low volatility. We started off doing well getting quite a few dealt high pairs and trips. Those are always fun to start off with. One hand we scored 10 quads on the draw. We were getting a lot of play time off of this machine. We had it set to slow and it was fun watching the winners total up on the bottom. That was until Dee scored her third royal flush of the trip again on a 2 card hold for a whopping $40 pay off. We played a little longer and cashed out with a $50 win.

We had both racked up enough points to play 2 different games on the promotional kiosk. Between both games Dee won 2500 points and I won 4000 points for a great win worth $6.50 between us or a little over $10 in comps. I don't know why casinos bother to go through the trouble of running these promos and give away such worthless prizes.

I activated today's free play after the huge win we had on the kiosk games and we ventured off to the penny games. We were doing well doubling up on the first machine we played on. The next machine beat us out of about $8 and then we tried out the new Michael Jackson slots. We were staying alive but not hitting anything great until we hit a bonus round. We got 10 free spins in the Beat it bonus. During the round they show the Beat it video and Michael throws wild symbols onto the screen. We had a few big hits during this round and racked up over 3000 coins. The $25 in free play was now a ticket worth $65 so we quit with a nice profit.

Next up we had a late dinner at Cafe Siena. Dee got the Deuces Wild breakfast of 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 bacon, and 2 sausages also known as the Grand Slam from Denny's. I ordered the lemon chicken off of the Chinese specials. This is a good deal and comes with crunchy noodles to snack on, egg drop soup, a spring roll, fried rice, and 2 battered chicken cutlets all for $6.99. Everything was good tonight and we rolled out of there full.

I brought Dee up to the room and then had to run up to the car to get some water because we were out in the room. On the way to the car I stopped off at one of the new Grease penny slots. I popped in a $20 and was holding steady up a few bucks, then down a few bucks. I was up $5 and decided I cash out even and pumped up my bets a little bit and hit a bonus round. I got the "One that I love" bonus round with 10 free spins and moving stacked wilds. After all of my spins were over I had racked up over 4000 credits and cashed out with a nice win for 5 minutes of play.

On the way to the car I noticed a lady had hit a jackpot on a Keno machine. There was some hoopla around her and the machine was playing music. I couldn't see what she won though and went on my way. On the way back from the car she still hadn't been paid and I got to see her machine showing she won 50,000 coins and was playing for dimes which scored her 5 grand. Even the worst game in the house can produce a winner here and there! Too bad it wasn't ME!!!

Total win/loss for the day -$100
Total Comps for the day $201
