Day 16

We got up early today and took our time getting ready. For breakfast I ran down to the Deli and grabbed a giant donut and a giant muffin. When I say giant I'm not exaggerating. These things are huge! Other than the novelty of the giant donut though it was kind of disgusting! Dee said her muffin was like eating a whole cake by herself.

We got ready for the day and then hit the casino. Today they are offering 7X points on video poker and 11X on slots so we'll be doing the bulk of our play today for this visit. Hopefully the VP gods will be with us!

We started off by playing $1 video poker. I wasn't doing well and went into a quad drought. Dee on the other hand was hitting lots of quads, including aces. I eventually pulled a few quads. We both cashed our tickets and started over again to be sure not to burn through everything. I couldn't hit much of anything and Dee continued to hover. Twice she was down to her last bet before coming back. I dropped 2 bills by the end of this and she lost just one, but she got a lot of play for that bill. Even with the losses at the end of the session we still came out ahead.

Dee had fun on the short pay penny 100-play last night so we went back over to those. We both played for about an hour and Dee lost $40. I had a little more luck early on getting dealt a few winners and hitting a few quads along the way but the dealt winners dried up. I did end up hitting what would be my second and our fifth combined royals of the trip. The pain comes that it was again for only $40 and even more painful I still lost for the session.

We were heading to the room after cashing out and we ran into Norm. We actually have plans to meet up with him for dinner at 5pm. He went off to his machines and we headed back up here to take a break until dinner time.

At 5pm we were off to dinner at Cafe Siena. We all played the required points on the play and eat promo they were running this weekend. If you earn 300 points you got a breakfast or lunch buffet. If you earned an additional 600 (or just 600) you got a dinner buffet or $10 credit to Cafe Siena. You also get to keep the points so this is a free comp.

I ordered the prime rib special and Dee tried the fish and chips again. Dee's was good once again and my prime rib was very good too. It was far superior to the piece of crap I got in Laughlin a few weeks ago. We topped it off with a banana split that we shared again.

When we were finished with dinner we all said our goodbyes and set up some plans to meet up again before we go home. It was time to hit the casino again and we started off playing some of the newer penny games that are out there. We did well with these hitting some big wins and a few bonus rounds that paid off well. We cashed out with about a $45 win on these games and then switched over to $1 video poker.

Things on the video poker weren't as good tonight as they were this morning. Dee had no hover power and couldn’t hit any quads. I was a little luckier hitting quad deuces again for $200 but that was about all I was able to hit. Dee cashed out down $150 and I was even.

We switched over to penny 100-play again. I was hovering and hit a few bigger hands but the dealt winners were sparse again today. It amazes me that when we play multi-line video poker how few dealt winners we get but when we play single line the dealt winners pop up more often. My luck ran out and I lost my bill here. Dee was luckier though and cashed out with a $40 win. One hand of note was when was dealt three 7's and in 100 hands didn't hit a single quad.

While Dee was finishing up on her 100-play I moved over to a goldfish machine. I hit a few bonuses but didn't get any big scores but was up a few bucks. I took a shot with a few bigger bets with no wins at all and cashed out with a big win of 40¢!

To end the night we went over to the deli and had a late night snack. Dee got an egg on an asiago bagel with Swiss cheese and I got a blueberry Danish.
