Day 18
Tuesday August 14, 2012
Today is moving day again and we packed up the rest of our things and headed out. The first stop we had to make was to the laundromat to drop off dirty clothes for fluff and fold service.

We made a quick stop at Wal-Mart and then drove to the Rio. While we are at the Gold Coast we decided it would be easier to get our free tickets for being diamond. Penn and Teller are now on the list so we took those for tomorrow night. The box office had some handicap accessible seats in section 1; row P, seats 7 & 8.

Once that was done we were on our way to the Gold Coast where we'll be spending the next 3 nights. This offer was an e-mailed offer that I got from them a few months ago. The offer was for 2 nights and when I went to book it there was the option for a 3rd night so I jumped on it. There were no other perks with this offer. When we got there, there was no line. I had reserved a handicap room and when we checked in we were given room 733. This room has a king bed, night stands, dresser, flat screen TV and a view of the south strip and the Palms. The bathroom is open and accessible and has toilet, sink and roll in shower with a fixed shower bench. It also features the famous Coast Casinos shower window. The only bad thing about this bathroom is that there is no vanity and no where to put your stuff.

Once we were settled into the room we took a break and then went to buffet for dinner. Dee had never been to this buffet before and I hadn't been here in a few years. Comparing it to the Feast buffet at Aliante I can say it doesn't have the selection but I can also say that the foods were all better prepared and had better flavors. The bad part is that it's $13 with a player’s card and I find that to be high compared to other buffets similar to it in town.

After dinner we hit the casino for some video poker action. The game of choice tonight was bonus triple play. Dee got off to a fast start with some dealt winners and I popped a few quads right away including dealt queens. Then my machine died and I needed another bill. I climbed all of the way back up by hitting a bunch more quads and getting some dealt full houses. Just as I was coming back Dee was dropping. While were playing a high limit player came in start slapping the buttons. This drives Dee crazy and she reached for her MP3 player to drown him out. My machine started eating credits again and I couldn’t buy a hand. Dee was getting beat up and finally lost her bill. She didn’t want to play in there anymore because Mr. Button slapper was driving her nuts. She lost $100 and I lost $40 which really sucked considering I hit 9 quads and had quite a few dealt winners. Compare that to Dee who hit only 1 quad and lost $100.

In the main casino Dee spotted a 50 play game for pennies. She played that for a while and I found a 12/8 loose deuces machine. I hadn't played this game in a long time but it's fun when the deuces come up. Unfortunately tonight the deuces seemed to be on strike and I only saw a few hands with 2 and a few with 3. I lost $40 here and Dee cashed out with a 70¢ win on her machine and we went to play a few penny games.

There was nothing too exciting with the pennies tonight but we got a lot of play and lost less than a dollar before we quit and called it a night.

Total win/loss for the day -$200
Total Comps for the day $76
