Day 28

We did get up a little earlier today but took it easy in the room until it was time to head out.

For lunch we had plans out at the Gold Coast with our friend Gary but unfortunately he had to cancel. We were still going to make the trip so we could eat at the Noodle exchange and collect our soda that we earned yesterday. The Noodle Exchange didn't open until noon and it was just 11am and we were already starving so we opted for the buffet instead.

We used points to pay for this from Dee's card. We didn't realize she had over 40,000 points worth $40 in cash or over $60 in comps because we usually only use this card for promos or as a back up when we don't want to hurt my average. The foods were good here today but the selection didn't seem as good as it was last week when we ate here.

When we were done eating we hit the gift shop to cash in our vouchers for the free water and soda we earned. Between us we got eight 8 packs. I didn't want to make 2 trips up to the car and we were able to take a few of the trays the soda comes in and Dee stacked them on her lap. That must have been a site to see.

Next up was a stop at Savers to get Dee some books to read and then it was off to the Pinball Hall of Fame. Dee isn't interested in this activity so stays in the car and reads while I go play a bunch of classic pinball machines and video games. I played here for almost 2 hours on 5 bucks. Sure is a better deal than the casino has been the last few days.

The final stop was off to the laundromat to pick up the laundry we dropped off yesterday and then it was back down to Sam's town.

We took a short break in the room for a snack and then it was time to get some food. For dinner tonight we chose Willy and Jose's Mexican Cantina. We've been here before in the past and everything was good. Tonight was no exception. I got the build your own combo with 3 shredded beef tacos and that came with seasoned rice and refried beans. Dee got the spinach and mushroom enchilada and it also came with beans and rice. Everything was good and the service was too.

When we were done with dinner we hit the casino again and took another shot at the video poker on the triple play machines. Dee hit a bonus quad early on and then pulled a straight flush. I was hitting regular quads often enough to keep going but nothing major. The results here were Dee dropping a bill and me breaking even. Not a terrible session and we did get quite a bit of play in.

We were both tired and decided to get to bed a little earlier than usual tonight hoping to wake up early tomorrow. We'll see if that pans out or not!
