Day 32
Tuesday August 28, 2012
We slept in this morning catching up after being up so late last night. When we got ready we took a ride over to Tuscany so I could collect the gift cards we earned yesterday. I chose Shell Gas today instead of Wal-Mart since I actually hate shopping there. In just a few minutes we were on our way to Gold Coast.

At Gold Coast today we had plan to have lunch with our friend Gary at the Noodle Exchange. When we got there Gary had already gotten a table for us and we sat down and joined him. Me and Dee got the Lemon Chicken lunch special again which again was good. After a good 3 hour lunch visiting and telling stories we went our own ways. Our way was to go downtown.

I parked the Golden Nugget and then we walked over to the shit hole known as Mermaids. I hadn't been in this place since it was Sassy Sally's and it's still a shit hole. The only reason we went here was to get a deep fried Twinkie. I was expecting more but it wasn't that good. I think in part because it wasn't freshly fried, it was sitting there for a while.

Next up was the Four Queens for some video poker action. Dee had $20 in free play on her card and I had $40. We both got quite a bit of play on that before busting out. We both fed in $100 and I hit aces, followed by deuces a few hands later. The only problem with this was we were playing 9/6 jacks or better. We kept on playing and got quite a bit of action in but Dee went quadless for the session and dropped $100. I went into a dry spell after my 2 quads. I cashed out down just $25 for the session. I was going to turn in the coupon for double points from the ACG but like a dick forgot the coupon in the car.

We left the Four Queens and didn't really know where we were going to go but decided on Sunset Station. The first thing we did here was hit the Grand Cafe for dinner. Dee got the Tuesday special spaghetti and Meatballs and a salad. I got a hot open turkey sandwich. My sandwich was great and was made with real turkey and Dee said hers was good too. We finished off the meal with some brownie sundaes because we just needed another 2000 calories today. Our server Ivan did a great job tonight as well.

Now it was time for some video poker action and we sat down at the triple plays. I immediately went into a downward spiral but just before I busted out I hit a set of aces to get back in it. Shortly after I hit a straight flush but was still down almost $75 at this point. For me so far the session was bad going 7-8 hands without getting any payback at all. Dee on the other hand was hovering as always and finally started catching her quads including, dealt threes. I busted out at this point and added in another bill and switched to five play. I was doing well getting the meter back to even and then up $80 before the machine turned again. I was getting quads often enough but the dealt winners were sparse. I switched back to triple play and eventually cashed out down $50. Dee continued to play hovering and hitting quads. She finished way too many hands with 4 to a royal but ended the session with a $100 win netting us $50 at Sunset Station.

The final move here at Sunset was to cash in some of my Stations points for cash. I've been stockpiling these things for a long time and there is too much in the account to just leave them sitting there. I decided to cash out $500 worth and that still left plenty to use for meals and anything else we might want. This also helped the bankroll a bit considering we've lost pretty much every day for over a week now.

We went out to valet to get our car and then came back to the Riviera to pack it in a little early tonight.

Total win/loss for the day $400
Total Comps for the day $645
