Day 35
Friday August 31, 2012
Breakfast was first thing on the list today and we went to Cafe Aquarius again. We both had the pancakes with over easy eggs. Dee got sausage and I got corned beef hash. The breakfast was good and the service was too.

After breakfast we started the gaming day with a run at the triple plays. To say this was a bad session would be a compliment. We both dropped 2 bills each in under an hour with just 3 quads between us. I can't recall going so many hands in a row on triple play without a winner of any type.

Dee wasn't feeling great and I didn't sleep well last night so we went to the room to take a break. This break ended up being another one of those 2 hour naps. After we woke up we dipped into some of the snacks our host sent up to the room the other night.

Now we were ready to rip and hit the casino again and tried the triple plays again. Things were slightly better here than earlier but not by much. I switched between triple, five and ten play and rode the roller coaster for a while before dropping a wad and only hitting a few quads again. Dee wasn't doing as bad but that's not saying much. She hit a few quads also and dropped a bill here.

To get away from the triple plays we chose to play some ingle line machines near the cafe at the 50¢ level. I wasn't doing well but Dee was hovering. Neither of us could pull a quad and I dropped another 2 bills here while Dee was hovering. She still couldn't hit a quad and I watched her play for a bit rooting for her quads. Then she holds KJQ of diamonds and I watch the 10 and ace fill in as she hit her first ever W2-G. I couldn't believe it with the way the cards had been falling all day long. She got her hand pay and we cashed out the remaining credits on the machine leaving the royal flush on the screen!

Once the hand pay was completed we went over to The Cove bar in the far corner by the sport book. We had a few passes for there from our host that offered 1 appetizer and 2 drinks on the house. We got some chicken fingers that weren't your normal fingers. These were formed from a real chicken breast cut into 4 strips and coated with panko. These also came with an Asian dipping sauce that I found to be nasty. With the non-alcoholic drinks the bill would have been $15 here so it is a bit pricey.

Dee wanted to play the 50 play games for pennies and even though the pay tables are crap for this sort of thing how could I tell her no way after she saved the day with a royal just a few moments ago. On one key hand she was dealt 4 to a royal. Now penny royals suck but this time there was a potential for more than one. She hit the draw button and up popped 6 straights, 13 pairs of jacks or better and only 4 flushes and that's it! She played for quite a while on $20 and I dropped about $25 in half the time it took her. She enjoys these games but I just wish they had better pay tables.

The next session was to single line quarters. We both hit a few quads but my problem was going 10-15 hands in a row without winning anything, hitting a pair of jacks and then losing another 10 hands. We got a good amount play with me dropping yet another $100 and Dee dropping $50.

For a late night meal we hit Cafe Aquarius again. Dee got a giant Cobb Salad and I got prime rib sliders with French fries. These little sliders are pretty good and I like them. They are probably one of my favorite items on the menu here.

It was now going on 1am and it was time to get upstairs and to bed.

Total win/loss for the day $700
Total Comps for the day $134
