Day 8
Saturday September 28, 2013
Today we started off with breakfast at the buffet. On weekends they set up a special section for red and green card holders in the buffet and you get 2 passes and get to sit in this area. In addition to the area there is a mini buffet with a few items on it that the regular buffet doesn't have. It's not really anything special they add, and the buffet here isn't anything that great. The advantage here, it's totally free.

After eating too much at the buffet we went over to the tournament area they set up by Panda Express and played my Saturday session. This is a come play when you want type tournament instead of the structured type that I've been to in the past. The game they are using today was some Wild Wolf on the game kings. I scored 23650 in my session. I had the option to take a “do over” and scored 21900. Neither of these was very good because the lady next to me had over 35k.

When I finished the tournament we hit the video poker machines again. We really need to hit a few royals at this point or this trip is going to get really ugly. We started off with triple play. I had Dee take a shot at halves because she typically hovers. This wasn't the case today. She lost $200 in short order only getting about a grand in action. She switched to quarters with similar results. I blew through $100 pretty quickly even though I hit a quad and a dealt full house. The next bill was better though when I switched to 5-play. I scored a few quads including bonus 4's twice on one hand, oddly pulling the 4 and 5 of diamonds on both hands when holding 3 cards. I also scored a set of aces and a few dealt winners. I cashed out with a $100 win for a change to help offset Dee's loss.

Since we were up a little earlier than planned today for the buffet we took a break up in the room for a while to get caught up and to let the buffet settle in. Once we were rested we were back over to the outlet mall to see if we could score some stuff we didn't think of the other day.

When we got back it was time for more video poker. This session was nothing great. Dee lost and I lost only a little bit for a change but she's only hit one quad for the whole day.

Next up we went to the Cove to get some dinner. As a red card holder I get vouchers for appetizers and drinks over here. It was packed so we got an all meat pizza to go with pepperoni, sausage, BBQ chicken and bacon. We brought it to the room and watched TV.

When we were done eating Dee decided she was in for the night. I went back downstairs to play a little bit more. I started with 5 play and got a decent amount of play. I even hit a set of aces on double-double on my hail Mary attempt. I still ended up losing for the session but nothing major like in past sessions.

For something a little different I played some blackjack after he video poker. It was back and forth here, win one, lose one and not much opportunity to press the bets. I had one small window where the chance presented itself and added $25 to each one of my bets every time I won. I got the bets up and at $100 got a blackjack and at $125 won a double down hand that made a huge difference in the session. I had put aside a winning pile that was going with me and continued on with a small amount of the profits. Pressing again I got the bets up hitting a blackjack at $50 but the killer was getting an 11 with $75 up and drawing a 6 against a dealer 19. Shortly after I cashed out with a $300 win. Not as much as it could have been but I'll take it.

I hit the cage to get my loot and then hit the slot club. I cashed in my coupon to get my tournament T-shirt and redeemed a bunch of my slot points for $400 in free play. I again chose the single line 9/6 jacks or better. I loaded the first $200 and had similar results to the other night. Very few hands better than trips. Luckily I did have a lot of 2 pair and trips and cashed out only losing $12. I switched machines and repeated the process, this time much worse than the previous. I only hit 1 full house, and 2 straights and the smaller winners were lacking. I cashed out this session down with a combined loss of $42. Even with the free play turned into cash and the small blackjack, we still showed a loss for the day.

Total win/loss for the day -$200
Total Comps for the day $520
Total number of eff bombs for the day = 9
