Day 16
Sunday October 6, 2013
We slept in again today and then got started off by watching a little football on TV and then getting something to eat at the Deli. We both had toast and eggs and a chocolate doughnut!

After we ate we hit the video poker machines. Today they are offering 7x points on video poker with a max of 10,000 and 11x points on slots. I didn't realize that yesterday or I would have skipped playing those Let's Make a Deal games. We tried to get on the triple play bank but as I suspected it was packed between the jackpots being huge and it being a 7x day. Instead, we started off by playing single line quarters. I hit 2 quads in the first 30 hands or so. Dee struggled with no quads. The area we were in was right under a vent so when I got to even and she was down just a bit we left in search of other machines.

We found some machines in a warmer part of the casino where there was a triple play machine and a single line machine side by side. Dee took the triple play and I took the single line. She blew through the rest of her ticket from the other machine and tried another bill after that. I continued with some of Dee's hover power and then popped a set of aces. We continued plugging away and then I felt Dee tap me on the arm. I looked over and saw something unusual and at first it was hard to recognize. It was our first quarter royal of the trip! We played on a bit longer with me breaking even and Dee only down $100 excluding the royal.

We took a break up in the room for a while and watched some football on TV and catching a short nap then, it was back to the casino. We went back to the same machines. Dee didn't have as much luck and was on a bit of a quad drought. In fact, her last quad was well before her royal. I continued to use her hover power but she wasn't doing well. I started to hit a wall and cashed out with just a $50 loss.

We were going to go play one of her favorite penny slots when we realized the bank of triple play progressives was empty. I thought that the jackpots would have been hit and some of them were but the middle line was at $2500 and the dealt was now over 10k. We both took a stab at it and I lost $100 without hitting a quad or getting any dealt winners. Dee hit a quad that kept her going but couldn't score her second royal and cashed out even.

We stopped playing and went to dinner at Billy Bob's Steakhouse. Dee started off with a snail appetizer and ordered the lobster tail dinner. It came with salad and a baked potato. I went with the porterhouse and chose the soup (cheese potato) and the baked potato. The food was good and the steak cooked perfectly. I was stuffed but the waiter asked if we wanted dessert and Dee said “Oh Yeah”, so I of course had to join her. She got a piece of chocolate cake and I got the NY Cheesecake with strawberries. Everything was great and our server, Maverick was awesome. He was also our server over at Willy and Jose's the other night and did a great job over there too.

After dinner it was back to the casino for more gaming action. We played Dee's penny slot and a few others where we were earning 11x points. We did well here playing for almost 2 hours on $20 and then packed it in for the night.

Total win/loss for the day $550
Total Comps for the day $263
Total number of eff bombs for the day = 14
