Happy Birthday to Dee
Today is Dee's birthday. This is the first time we've actually been out here for her birthday. Today the things we do, and the places we go will be selected by her.

The first order of business was to the Total Rewards booth to collect my diamond tickets for the month. Dee wanted to see MJ Live so the hope was to score tickets for tomorrow's show. I also had a $10 match play voucher from a small fun book I got at check in so got that too.

We took our voucher over to the box office and got tickets for the MJ Live show for tomorrow at 4pm.

Next up on the schedule was a trip to Red Rock. This was of course Dee's choice and of all of my years have never been to Red Rock. On the way there we made a quick stop at Jack in the Box for a couple of their tacos to hold us over.

We took the rest of the drive out to Red Rock and did the 13 mile loop. The scenery is pretty cool here so if you're into that sort of thing for $7 a car load it's well worth the price. You can also stop at a number of places and park your car and hike. We didn't see much wildlife on the drive but on the way there we saw 2 burros. I expected to see more than that but we struck out there.

For dinner we went to the diamond lounge here at the Rio. Tonight they had meat pockets, chicken wings, bread, vegetables, dip and deserts.

When we were done eating we hit the casino here at the Rio and played the short pay 50/100 play machines again. We did well here considering the paytables on the games. Dee played the 6/5 bonus and I played the 7/5 double-double bonus. We set the machines to slow and let the credits rack up to slow the game down. They were still streaky with very few dealt winners but between us we did score 5 royal flushes. Dee actually had 2 on one hand. By the end of the 5 hour play session we were down only $100 and I add that up to the shortness on the full houses.

We came to the room and hit the bed to wrap up another day around midnight.
