Day 12
Sunday June 22, 2014
This morning we had plans to meet with our friend Carol. The place was Java Vegas at 8:30. We were up early and ready to go. We also had some breakfast there with Dee having a bagel and coffee and me an iced tea and blueberry muffin. We spent the next 3 hours visiting and telling stories before Carol had to head home.

Next up was some gaming action at the video poker machines. This was a nightmare session with me playing 5-play and dropping $500 in 45 minutes with just one quad, few dealt winners, getting low paired to death and not being able to improve a pair of jacks. Even going to my Hail Mary didn't pan out. Dee was on triple play not doing much better. She too only hit one quad. Between us we dropped more than half of what we were up in less than an hour.

Today was a gift day where earning 300 point got you a bottle of champagne so I hit the kiosk to print my voucher and then went to the redemption area to collect.

After a quick morning session of video poker it was time to hit the gym and pool for some exercise and swimming. We didn't stay here too long but did fry up to a nice golden brown.

We took a break for a while in the room recovering room the late night last night and the early morning.

For dinner we went to Noodle Exchange tonight. This is a favorite of ours since we found it. Tonight we both had the aloha noodle soup (noodles, chicken, shrimp, fish cakes, bok choy and a tempura battered sweet potato) an order of firecracker shrimp rolls and strawberry mango smoothies to go. The food was good tonight with exception of the noodles that were a bit undercooked.

Next up was some more video poker. Things were different here this time around. Dee played one machine of five play while I watched. She got over 3k in action on $100 hitting a few quads but nothing major. Just goes to show how bad this morning was with us only getting 3k in action and losing 6X as much. I played the next bill with lesser results getting only 1 quad and 1k in action. Between us we lost $200.

Next Dee wanted to play the Butterfly slot we'd been running the free play through the last few days. I figured for $40 it couldn't be any worse than the video poker was. Things actually were decent here with a few 2000 coin hits to keep us going. We were never up more than $20 but never down more than $20 until we hit 3 lines of winners on one spin. One line for 40, one for 7200 and one for a whopping 18000 for 25240 total coins. For fun we decided to let the credits rack up without hitting the buttons and it took over 30 minutes!

We took our winnings back to video poker and had better results. Dee hit a straight flush early on followed by aces and queens. The video poker gods got angry at her though and took it all back as she cashed out even. Things were a bit better for me also hitting a straight flush and a set aces and jacks. Dealt winners were sparse but I was able to cash out with a $100 win salvaging the day from this morning's disaster.

We finished up tonight's action and called it a day at about 11:00pm.

Total win/loss for the day - $500
Total Comps for the day $179
