Day 14
Tuesday June 24, 2014
We were up late today. When I woke up it was almost 10am. Ugh, I hate when that happens!

As has been tradition this stay it started with another quick breakfast from Java Vegas featuring bagels and pastry

Once we were cleaned up and ready for our day we headed to the Flamingo to pick up Dee's diamond tickets for the month of June. We chose to see Vinny Favorito. I've seen him twice before and he's pretty funny to see. Dee has never seen him though.

We scored our tickets and then took a walk over to the new Cromwell. This is the former Barbary Coast and Bill's Gambling Hall with a total makeover. Inside it was ultra modern and looked nothing like the old properties it has replaced. It is very nice and as we walked through we visualized what used to be in the new spaces. It's actually amazing how open this casino is compared to the old layout of Barbary Bill's.

We left the Flamingo and came back here to the Gold Coast for some video poker action. We both played 5 play today. I was doing well hitting enough quads to stay alive but Dee was getting a little beat up. She even hit aces and dropped $100. She reloaded and then good things happened. She got dealt quad threes and shortly after hit her second royal in 24 hours on line 4 on a 4 card hold! I was still plugging away and hit aces too before the drain started. I ended up cashing out even for the session.

Since I still had a ton of points on my account I pulled another $500 and ran it through. Good luck continued and one a hand with trip eights I quaded up on two lines. This helped me turn the free play into $550 and we cashed out.

Today was also a gift day so I hit the kiosk to print my voucher and collected my made in China tool kit.

On the way back to the room we stopped at the cart in the sports book for a few hot dogs and then took a break for a while.

We left the Gold Coast around 6:30 and went back top the strip to go to the show at the Flamingo. This time we valet parked so we didn't have to navigate the horrible parking garage there.

We had general admission seats for the show. We were first in the diamond/7 stars line and were seated right next to the stage. The show was fun like it usually is and we both enjoyed it. The best line was when he picked on Dee for being in a wheelchair and told her he'd bang her just to get the good parking spots. As I've said in the past this is a fun show but WAY overpriced at $68 for general admission. Be sure to get ½ price tickets to this one.

After the show we were going to have dinner at the cafe but it was closed. WTF is up with all of the cafe's closing so early these days?

We decided to come back here to the Gold Coast and have some appetizers at the Red Zone sports bar only to find out they stop serving food at pm. Again, WTF? We decided to each have a drink an d run a $20 bill through the VP here. We played 7/5 bonus with individual progressives for the different suits. I busted out but Dee popped 2 quads and we won $20 between us.

We had dinner at TGIFriday's. I despise having to eat in a chain restaurant while I'm in Vegas but there isn't much option right now. I ordered some Jack Daniels chicken strips. Dee ordered nachos grande. Everything here was fine tonight and the service was good.

We took one more shot at five play video poker and I busted out $100 in about 10 minutes. Dee had better luck popping aces and fours along with some nice dealt winners to offset my loss.

We came up here to the room after we left the casino and started to gather our things. This is our last day at the Gold Coast and we'll be moving tomorrow. Don't fret though. This trip is less than half way over at this point and we've still got over 2 weeks to go!

Total win/loss for the day $1450
Total Comps for the day $719
