Day 15
Wednesday June 25, 2014
We started today with one last in room breakfast before we got ready for the day.

I stopped by the host office to see about getting the additional charges to the room comped. Everything went well here and all of our charges were comped off.

We left the Gold Coast and headed to Silverton where we will spend the next 3 nights. This was booked on a mail offer Dee got from her previous action here. The offer is good for 3 nights and $125 in free play. When I made the reservation I requested the same room we had last year when we visited. When we checked in the room wasn't ready so the guy at the desk took our cell phone number and said he'd call when it was.

In the mean time we played some video poker and slots to kill time and bankroll. We couldn't hit anything in the 2-3 hours we played. Dee wasn't feeling well and just wanted to lay down. We went back to the front desk to find that the room was ready and no one ever called. I commented to the guy checking us in and he apologized and made excuses. Eff him.

We were given the room I had blocked. This is a handicap room with 2 queen beds. There is also a nightstand, dresser, and work desk/table. The bathroom is standard although a bit larger with safety bars around the toilet and in the tub. There is a view of the trees that surround the pool but there typically aren't any good views here anyway. This room is also on the first floor so we don't have to screw with elevators! This makes it really convenient when we want to hit the casino or go off property.

When we got our things to the room we took a break for a while and Dee got some extra rest. I also fell asleep for a few hours myself.

When we finally got up Dee still wasn't feeling great so I went to the Sundance Grill and got some dinner to go. Chicken Noodle Soup and toast for Dee and a Crispy chicken sandwich with potato chips for me. While I was waiting for the food to come out I played some VP. I made a rare choice to play Spin Poker which turned out to be a good one. On a 4 card straight flush draw I landed 3 of them and cashed out with a nice little win. Not bad for 10 minutes worth of play.

When we were done eating Dee decided to stay in the room and I went out to play. I returned to the same Spin Poker machine and within just minutes I hit a royal on one line on a 2 card hold. From there I just hovered not hitting anything fantastic but enough to keep going. The swings can be rough on this game if things are going your way, it can be good. I played for about an hour and won an additional $150 on top of the royal.

I cashed out and hit the $1 machines to run my free play through. I had a mail offer of $75 and also earned $20 free play today on a promotion of earn 1000 points get $20 in free play. I was able to turn the $95 into $105 and returned to the spin poker machines. This was not a good idea as the $105 became 5 in about 5 minutes.

I decided to call it a night and walk away with my royal money and go to bed!

Total win/loss for the day $1050
Total Comps for the day $125
